I have been traveling since August and just got the chance to write this review. This is by far the best boutique feel Hotel I have stayed in. It is tucked away in a nice quiet area, but with easy access to the city and a lot of activity in Florence. The entrance into the courtyard is elegant and classy. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was acknowledged, although the receptionist was working with another guest. The staff from the beginning was amazing, extremely receptive and very informative. The room I had was on the lower level and it was very clean and cozy. It also included a robe which was tucked away in the bathroom. The receptionists offered to order a cab if I needed to go out and had great restaurant recommendations. It is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, sights and walking along the banks of the river to the city center. I sadly had to leave after two days and get back on the road. Thanks to both the young lady and the young fellow who were extremely helpful. I wish I could remember their names. This hotel is elegant top notch and would surely recommend for a Florence visit.

We looked for a hotel for one night near train station. What a beautiful hotel. 10 min walk easy from there. We were able to walk to river, duomo, and market. Had dinner at a great little restaurant. (See previous review). Paid for buffet breakfast. It was okay. Felt bad for super busy hard working waitress (blond pony tail). So many tables by herself but somehow she managed. Love the later checkout. Staff all friendly and accomodating.

This hotel was FANTASTIC! Could not recommend more. It is luxurious without being pretentious. The decor is a beautiful mix of classic renovation, with a modern twist. This hotel was FANTASTIC! Could not recommend more. It is luxurious without being pretentious. The decor is a beautiful mix of classic renovation, with a modern twist. Staff was extremely warn and very helpful. Rooms were spacious and great bathrooms. The shower was amazing after a couple of weeks of traveling and staying at various other hotels. Was our last 2 nights and we could not have been happier with this hotel. We will be back!

I recently stayed at this fantastic hotel in Firenze, just a short walk from the city center in a calm and authentic neighborhood. The location was perfect—close enough to easily reach all the major sights, but tucked away in a peaceful area that allowed for a more relaxed, local experience. The hotel itself was beautifully designed, with comfortable rooms that offered a mix of modern amenities and classic Florentine style. I especially loved the serene atmosphere, which made it a great place to unwind after exploring the city. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready with helpful recommendations. Drinks on the terrace was a highlight, with delicious options. If you’re looking for a place that combines convenience with a tranquil setting, this hotel is an excellent choice for your stay in Firenze.

“Pampered at Palazzo Montebello Splendid Firenze.”

From the moment we walked through the door, Enrico greeted us and made us feel like we’d just arrived at our home for the next 10 days. The room was spectacular and had a spacious balcony overlooking the courtyard. The hotel is in a very nice residential area of Firenze and an easy walk to the Ponte Vecchio, restaurants, shopping , museums, and the historical sites in Firenze. All the staff at Palazzo Montebello were very kind and helpful. Housekeeping was very prompt in keeping our room and linens fresh and did an excellent job. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet every day and the dining room staff was so helpful, polite and catered to all our needs. One morning my wife was not feeling well and when I went down to the buffet, Ada, one of the wonderful servers, asked if my wife would be coming down. I explained that she did not feel well and Ada, without my requesting it, prepared a tray to take back to our room with fresh orange juice and the buffet items which she knew my wife liked. We highly recommend Palazzo Montebello as an excellent hotel when visiting Florence! Bob and Marilyn Oct. 9-19, 2023
