On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

The breakfast was great and offered a variety of things to eat.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The B&B is in a neighborhood, convenient to everything yet not in "tourist central". The rooms and entire residence are beautifully decorated. The best parts are Bea and Max, super hosts with a wonderfully helpful and friendly air. They helped us arrange a tour of the Duomo at the last minute, which turned out terrific. One area of improvement would be the Wifi, it worked better in some parts to the room and residence than others, but that was a very minor issue.

Bea & Max were excellent hosts & the rooms we had were beautiful. This is a family owned & run establishment with unique décor & excellent free wifi. Finding the property on arrival is a little challenging as there are no large markings but looking on the old brass wall plate alongside the huge entrance doors all is revealed. It is located in a peaceful safe neighbourhood & walking to all the sights & places of interest is easy. It is perfectly safe even at night. The rooms are comfortable with good facilities although the TV's are a bit dated, but then that added to the originality of the accommodation. Bea & Max are obviously very proud (rightly so) of the building, it's family history & the many antiques insitu. Both were very friendly & helpful in offering advice on what to see & where to go & willingly assisted in sorting out car parking (on arrival) & a taxi on departure. Breakfast was a good continental one with a variety each day. There are plenty of bars & restaurants nearby including a small antique market. The shopping is excellent (so my wife & her friend informed me). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would willingly return.

Max and Bea run a nice B&B. This older apartment is well kept and decorated in antiques to match the age of the building. The hosts are very friendly and helpful....although they don't remain on site, they were there when I needed them. They were very responsive to emails and in-person requests. Breakfast was sufficient but nothing to rave about....consisting of yogurt, muesli, assorted breads, jam, prosciutto/ham, cereal, milk, coffee. The AC in the rooms worked very well, and there is a small fridge in each room. The fridge didn't get very cold but provided cool drinks. The apartment is on the (European) 2nd floor. Thank goodness there is a small elevator because it is a long way up! There are some stairs in the entryway to the building that you have to navigate. 4-5 steps? The apartment is a good 15-20+ minute walk to most attractions. We walked everywhere, and boy was it hot. We are from Texas so are used to heat, but this rivaled a very hot summer day back home. (July has seen record highs in Europe this year) If Florence has a good public transport system, we saw no sign of it. Taxis run about 8-12 Euros if you give up on walking and catch one to/from attractions or restaurants. We only stayed one night, and we had everything we needed. Given the heat, I wish we'd stayed a little closer to town, but I think that Casanuova is a good value and a nice place to stay, particularly in Spring and Fall.
