Stayed here with four other friends for three nights. Located in a gated compound containing the Swedish consulate on the 2nd floor this really is boutique. As previous reviews have stated this is a lovely, local and quiet area of Florence. The staff, Luca in particular were supremely helpful and went out of their way to help. Luca suggested a lovely restaurant for steak and his colleague secured us a table the next evening. The rooms were great (I had a four poster bed) and even though the shower is not the biggest they were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast taken in a hotel opposite was filling and plentiful and the heating was very effective for the cold nights. We utilised the honesty bar for some water and a beer and to our surprise this was given to us as a complimentary. Thoroughly recommend this establishment.

We stayed for four nights at Residenza Johanna and would thoroughly recommend it for its comfort; cleanliness and the friendly and helpful team of staff. While there my wife was "under the weather" but commented that she was so glad we were in this B&B because it felt homey. At first it was a little quirky because it's in an old office building or something (it's up on the second floor), but they have made the B&B very quaint and it feels "old Italian". We received a good orientation, found the breakfasts nice, and slept well.

The location of the hotel, is actually a residence cross the street of a hotel, so you can get the key from there if you arrive Florence after 7 pm, you can get key from the hotel reception desk cross the street. It serve breakfast and some complimentary cookies and milk in lobby whole day. The "hotel" is a residential unit on second floor of residential building, I believe lots of this kind of "hotels in Florence
