Absolutely beautiful hotel. Extremely clean. Cleaners cleaned our room every day. Other reviews i had read said the shuttle bus only holds 8 people and there are long ques and arguments. We found buses to be very regular and they had a numbering system so you knew your place in the que. Never waited longer than 10 mins for a bus. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The evening meals were 5 star. Really lovely. Lots of choice for breakfast. We weren't keen on the English breakfast option but there was enough other choice for that not to be a problem. It rained one day so we went in the spa which was absolutely gorgeous. Best spa i have ever been in. Clean and quiet and so relaxing. Lots of activities in the pool if you want them or if you don't you can just chill. Lots of sunbeds. Also ideal for kids as so many activities to do. Over all a fantastic hotel at a good price

Hotel Poiano Hotel this September with my fiancee and was delighted with the location and hotel. Beautiful view of the lake from the hotel, perfect for relaxing and viewing the sun set. We had B&B which was standard, nice and clean. We didn’t eat there in there in the evening as we were exploring the lake however looked very nice. Didn’t use the facilities, however there is a gym, and loads of activities such as a driving range, small golf coarse, large swimming pool for actual swimming snd football pitches. There is a free shuttle bus to Garda (the main town), or it’s a lovely walk to the lake around 20 minutes. Be warned it’s all up hill coming home though. Special mention to Christine who works on reception she make out short trip memorable by arranging a stunning restaurant to celebrate our engagement in a local town. Amazing member of the team. If you want a good base where to plan your Lake Garda experience this hotel is perfect. There is also an amazing restaurant we discovered during a be walk which is 5 minutes from the hotel (review to follow).

Stayed in a 2 bedroom self catering apartment for a week in August. Hotel and apartments were clean and tidy. Apartment was basic but it had all we needed for the week. You do have to remove your rubbish and wash up prior to departure otherwise you are charged. Air conditioning worked well and it was certainly needed. Towels were not changed for the week we were there. You had to pay to get fresh towels. Apartment was not cleaned either. Think if we were staying for more than a week then towels would have been changed and apt cleaned. Hotel and apartments are on a hill about a 20/30 min walk from Garda. Walk is all uphill, not too pleasant in the heat. There is a shuttle bus to and from Garda. Journey takes just under 10 mins. We got taxis back most nights. We did not eat in restaurant as preferred to eat in Garda which had lots of options and very reasonable prices. Had drinks in hotel bar a couple of nights and prices were good. Pool is Olympic sized and there were always lots of sun beds available. There is a bar at pool with snacks for lunch and cold drinks and icecream. Overall, we enjoyed our time there. We spent a lot of our week out and about exploring Lake Garda so hotel served its purpose for our needs.

We were very disappointed with this hotel , I read the reviews before booking so we were aware of the distance from Garda town and that is it on hill , but the standard of our room was well below that shown on the hotel website . We did not get a nicely decorated bright room, but a very dingy bland beige room, with scuffed walls, dead insects in the runners of the patio doors and cobwebs above the door. The breakfast was 3/10 , if you didn’t have breakfast when it first started each morning nothing was topped up and therefore there was not much left by 8.30 am, and what was left was cold and greasy. Evening meals had to be pre ordered the night before, and if you wanted your evening meal later,at 8pm, then there was no salad left and most of the desserts had all been taken, and not replenished. Overall a very disappointing experience, on the plus side, drinks and wine are reasonably price, the views are amazing, and if you like sports the facilities are very good.

Beautiful surroundings, great facilities BUT you have to pay for EVERYTHING and I mean everything. Apart from the gym and the outdoor pool. On our first night we chose to eat at the hotel restaurant. I wish I’d took more notice of the other reviews. It was €35 per adult and €17.50 per child. There was very little choice on the menu. 3 or 4 starters and same for mains. Kids had 1 starter and 1 main. Other people in the restaurant were going up for a buffet so we tried that but got told to sit down and order from this piece of paper. The food was mediocre, not very hot. We had gnocchi followed by veal chop and roast potatoes (no veg given). Kids got tortellini followed by fish fingers and chips. There was a salad buffet and dessert buffet you could choose from. Quite a small selection. At the end of the meal we were given the bill for 4 adults and 1 child. I had to argue the toss but it took about 30 mins to resolve. The staff were more focused on the large German party and the Italian men that came in after us. Must point out that we asked if the restaurant could provide pizzas for the kids as they were dying to try them in Italy. Nice we’d sat down we got told no it was a set menu. We had a great lunch the next day in Garda for €50 which included wine. Much cheaper option and the standard of good/service was better. There’s loads of restaurants in the town along the front and down the side streets. We had a drink in the piano bar afterwards. Wine was cheap at €2.50 a glass. Tried to use the indoor pool which is only available to families on a 1 hour time slot per day where an adult must pay €5 to go in even if they aren’t using the pool. Unless you are non English in our case! Another family came afterwards and was sent straight through. €20 for a 1 hour swim. Entrance was through the spa at the side going up to the main reception. The rooms are quite basic, only 1 mirror 🪞 n the bathroom for a family of 5 which is disappointing when you have 3 females trying to put make up on and trying to dry their hair. The kitchen area is behind the wooden doors. Very basic facilities. 4 gas rings, fridge, a microwave and a kettle. Glasses, cups and bowls etc were in a cupboard under the tv. The apartments are clean but you have to empty your rubbish and wash up before you leave otherwise it’s an €80 charge! No maid came in during the short time we were there. No signs as to where to take the rubbish/recycling so we left it with some other rubbish that was left about. Yoga was an extra €10 euros each. Football and tennis were extra too. One positive thing is that all the floor surfaces were non slip so no need to worry if you are wearing heels and it’s raining. There is a free shuttle bus to Garda which stops between 12.30 and 3 and then starts again until 5ish. We used this a couple of times - one driver is practicing for F1! He was texting and making calls, driving on the wrong side of the road and speeding. I nearly fell out of my seat at one point. It’s only a 5-10 mins journey but not really suitable for walking when you have kids. Taxi was €20 for 5 of us to return.
