My review title says it all. We stayed for almost a week, actually our second stay in Casa La Salle and we were again quite satisfied with our stay for the price we paid. The hotel is basic but clean, comfortable and with a well stocked toilet & bath. It’s inside the compound of a religious order thus green and tranquil. Our room looked out into the garden below. The staff are friendly, efficient and professional. The free buffet breakfast was very filling with so many choices that you can make do with a small snack lunch later. The set dinner, 3-course with wine, is fairly priced and convenient especially if you come in very tired from a long day of touring. It’s in a convenient neighbourhood with a nearby shopping center and a large supermarket. Restaurants with all price ranges from a US burger chain, local take-outs and dine-in Italian restos like Gustosando that was quite delicious. Being outside the city core, of course the food prices are much lower too. The hotel is a 10-minute brisk walk to the Cornelia Metro A Station that connects you to all of Rome and the buses that will bring your directly to St. Peter’s Square, Vatican Museum and Piazza Venezia. Some minor possible issues - no TV (but I didn’t visit Rome to watch TV), no fridge, moderate internet signal (I use my personal WiFi for serious work) and sole elevator for two guest floors (we use the stairs). Recommended for budget conscious travellers with high energy.

I stayed at Casa La Sale for three nights for a meeting. A simple single room and bathroom was immaculately clean as is the whole place. Very friendly and helpful staff welcomed me. All service staff were obliging. A simple continental breakfast was available with fresh pastries (included in the price). Lunch and supper consisted of two courses, bread and fruit were also available. While basic these were tasty and sufficient. There is a comfortable lounge with a vending machine for snacks and drinks (coins essential). The meeting room was comfortable but due to COVID no drinks or coffee were supplied. while the Casa has free wi-fi this was not reliable especially when trying to hold a hybrid meeting. It would pay them to upgrade their wi-fi and charge when needed. Set in spacious grounds with a beautiful Church on site, this is a restful, peaceful place. As I have not travelled since before lockdown I am not sure whether the cost was satisfactory.
