We stayed at the Condotti Inn for 6 nights and WOW! I can not recommend it highly enough. We arrived at 7.30am after a 25 hour commute from Australia. We expected to simply drop out bags off and leave until 2pm check in. No. They told us to sit down and help ourselves to the fresh and delicious breakfast buffet, and got us a pot of tea. Heaven!!! Then they gave us a map and a list of recommendations of things to do u til we wanted to come back and check in. This was a huge help. Pino and the two ladies at reception went out of their way to provide for our every request. It was a heatwave at the time, so I needed ice for my drinks. No problem. Ice appeared every afternoon at 5pm. They knew all about the buses to catch to various places, recommended restaurants and I saw Pino still at reception after 7pm one night. He had some guests arriving at 9pm, so he was sending the taxi and would be there to check them in. You expect this at a large hotel chain, but not a small independent inn. There are only a handful of rooms and you only want to be in their to relax at the end of the day and sleep. However, they were comfortable, and everything worked as it should. To be in that location for the money we paid was a bargain. A nasone just outside the front door meant we could have fresh, cold water each day and the laundromat next door was a bonus in the Rome summer heat. Bike hire shop two doors up. Close to supermarket, restaurants and all amenities. 5 minutes walk to Piazza Navona and Castel sant Angelo. 10minutes walk to the Vatican and Trevi Fountain. Anyway, I could go on. 5 stars all around and especially the staff. We will definitely stay there next time we are in Rome!

Stayed here with my mother and it was very pleasant. Staff was wonderful. Breakfast was included and delicious. Taxi transfer assistance was so helpful and seamless. Room was spacious, location was top. Bathroom had everything we needed. Walls are thin and you can hear some sounds now and then from neighbors, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Friendly staff makes all the difference when traveling.

Breakfast is also good with a cup of good Expresso helping to get ready for long hours walk in Rome

We stayed at the Condition Inn for three days over the busy Easter season. Even in Easter weekend, the street that the hotel is on is quite quiet, nice for sleeping. There's only a few blocks walk to get to nearby restaurants, bakeries or cafes, though. This is a hotel inside an apartment building that has other non-hotel tenants, so be aware that you will need to be buzzed into the building when you first arrive to check in. (After that your key will let you in.) Check-in is on the second floor and there's a sign for the hotel on the door that leads into a sitting area and then the reception desk. We had a double room with two single beds, and were pleased that they did listen to our booking request and separate the beds (something we did not run into everywhere). The room was basic, not super highly decorated or fancy, but the beds were reasonably comfortable, there was enough space for two suitcases and backpacks without stumbling over them, and it came with a small safe and refrigerator. The bathroom is small but had the best shower water pressure - great after a long day of walking around! The location is very good - a 15 minute walk to the Vatican, very close to many small museums and landmarks like the Trevi fountain or Spanish Steps, and only about a 45 minute walk (or a bus ride) to the Colosseum. It's less than 5 minutes from many restaurants and cafes, and always felt very safe. The service here was fantastic - friendly and very helpful. They had great advice, booked us an airport shuttle (very reasonably priced for 2 people compared to a long walk to Termini and the 15 euro a person shuttle to the airport from there) and then even took care of a dinner reservation for us since we didn't have voice service on our phones. Breakfast was the one week point of this hotel, with a much more basic breakfast than other hotels we stayed at. There was still enough to eat, but without a kitchen the food here is all pre-prepared or packaged. We did get pastries, meats and cheeses, yogurt, some fruit in syrup, and cappuccino, but no eggs or homemade food. All in all, I would certainly recommend staying here as a nice mid-range hotel unless you're really excited about Italian breakfasts and homemade pastries (although there is an amazing bakery just a block or two away!). The friendly and helpful service really made the clean-but-simple rooms and breakfast shine!
