We stayed at here for 5 nights whole we visited Rome, which was under an unusual heat wave for April. The hotel was centrally located with only a few negatives, which we though deserved a 5 / 5 rating. The hotel is split into 2 sections: the main hotel, with the office and upstairs rooms, and the suites, which are actually located one street over ( a 3 minute walk away). We booked one of the suites. The Positives: Check in was great and the hotel staff were all very friendly. Once checked in, the staff walked us to the suites and showed us how to access the hallways and room. The suites are extremely secured, having to enter a locked door on street level, a locked gate in the hallway, and a triple lock on the suite door. The triple lock on the front door means that when you unlock the door, you don't turn to unlock once - you have to turn in twice fully to unlock, then turn and hold to open the door. The room was HUGE, with ample space. It included a large, firm but very comfy bed, a kitchenette with a sink, hotplates, dishes, pots and pans, a table, and a adequate sized bathroom. The AC worked very well, but I had to look up the Manuel and translate it to English as we accidentally put it in sleep mode one night. There is a window to open as well, but as we were there during a heat wave (and being Canadians) we needed the AC. The hotel is centrally located. A 10 minute walk from the Colosseum (which you can see right from the suite front door), a 6 minute walk to the Roman forum, and a 16 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. There are a few awesome restaurants right around the corner. You MUST go to Barzilai Bistrot (I'll post a review separate). Staff was helpful throughout our stay and called cabs, offered maps, and were very friendly. The negatives: The negatives are all super minor. The pillows were flat and somewhat hard, but there were 4 pillows total so you can add extra pillows if needed. The bathroom shower was small with no area to place your shower soaps, shampoo, etc. Room cleaning is only done every 3 days but that was fine with us. We did ask for extra towels and toilet paper one day and it wasn't a problem. There is no safe in the room but you have to keep your ID/passport on your person in Italy anyway, so not a problem for us - keep your valuables in your suitcase. The tv was very small and only a few channels but who cares? You're in Rome! Some of the plaster and concrete was crumbling and there was some small areas of damage, but not terrible, and it certainly didn't impact our experience. The hallway was dark, but there is a light switch which we found later in our stay. While it didn't impact us, the front desk is not 24 hours. They are staffed from 6am to 10pm. Keep this in mind when booking, because late arrivals are charged a service fee. Even though they are not open 24 hours, you can use what's app to contact them for inquiries. Overall we had an excellent stay and loved the hotel and the beautiful city! This is a must stay!

Perfect hotel for our stay in Rome. Located a 10 minute walk from the main attractions (Lovely view of the Colosseum when you take two turns out the hotel, even better at night). Bus stop and train station all within a 5 minute walk away. 15 minute walk from the metro. You can’t ask for more seriously. Don’t be put off by the star or price in comparison to the other hotels you’ll see when looking, this IS the hotel to choose. You’re going to be using the room as basically a pit stop to sleep and get ready, right? Exactly. This hotel is what you need for a trip to Rome. And the staff and amazing too. Let us leave our bags whilst we had 2 hours to spare whilst waiting to go to Florence, and then let us use the toilet before we set off! I spent a lot of time surfing and looking for the perfect hotel to go and felt I was missing something when looking here but TRUST ME - You are not missing something, this hotel is perfect. BOOK IT. And also book directly through the hotel website, we found it cheaper that way! Enjoy!

Location is great, felt safe and comfortable. It's within 15 minutes walk to the Colesseo, Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. It's a few blocks from Cavour metro station, so super convenient to Roma Termini train station. The elevator is so quaint, one of the original ones in Rome, but super small, just enough for 2 small framed women with 2 carry on suitcases. It's close to restaurants. We had room 105. The shower stall was very small, do not pick this place if you are a bigger person. We had some issues with the front desk, where we were charged for drinks we didn't drink from the mini bar, and the final bill was not fully charged, so they had to charge me again a few hours after check out, without my knowledge, although I was expecting it. We messaged with the front desk via Whatsapp for our entire stay and that's how they told us. Housekeeping threw away a leftover pizza I had wanted to eat for lunch, only because it was left out, because it wouldn't fit in the mini bar, and they don't check if there's food inside. There was no garbage bin in the common area, only the bathroom. We use a spare plastic shopping bag to put our garbage but they threw my food away. There are quite a few keys, with a large bell keychain, so a bit bulky to carry around.

This is probably one of the best-located hotels at this price point in Rome. Monti is a great neighborhood, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions like the Colosseum within walking distance. As for the hotel room itself, it was surprisingly spacious and well-appointed with good-quality furniture and a hint of old glamor in the details of the interior. But there were a few (minor, to be fair) issues: The room was extremely humid, even when the A/C was on. The shower head, one of those retractable ones, would not stay up, instead flopping downward unless you carefully put it at a very specific angle that made showering awkward. And, being on the ground level, there were quite a few bugs that found their way inside. But the staff were friendly, and, again, the price and the location were good.
