“Great hotel!”
The hotel is super clean and the rooms are huge for an European hotel. The shower is a little bit tiny. The restaurant at the 4th floor is amazing, you can eat with a view to the Colisseo or have a drink at the terrace. Location-wise, its 5 minutes away from the Colosseo however it's within 20-3… more
The hotel is super clean and the rooms are huge for an European hotel. The shower is a little bit tiny. The restaurant at the 4th floor is amazing, you can eat with a view to the Colisseo or have a drink at the terrace. Location-wise, its 5 minutes away from the Colosseo however it's within 20-30 minutes from all the other monuments (walking). Good thing is you can easily get to a bus stop (5 minutes walking) or to the metro (10 minutes walking).

Where do I start with this amazing establishment?! First off thank you so much to everyone at Hotel Capo d'Africa for making a once in a lifetime event so magical. My husband and I had been together for almost ten years and we were looking to have a destination wedding. Rome has always been on our bucket list so we decided on it as a location. Out of all of the air bnb's and all the other hotels I contacted Simona really stepped up to the plate and event coordinated my whole wedding with me down to the very last detail. I must have sent them over 100 emails before my day of actually arriving in Rome. When we first arrived the hotel was very easy to find and the front desk staff were tremendously helpful. Everyone was so polite and any wedding issues I had or requests I brought to them they were able to fulfill them with urgency and pace. The food was amazing, I recommend grabbing a bite on their rooftop restaurant overlooking the colosseum. The rooms were perfect for a hot summer in Rome and spotless. Mine and my husbands wedding was flawless and we loved every minute in Rome. Our experience at this hotel and with the staff were impeccable. I want to give a shoutout to Simona because without her we wouldn't have this beautiful memory as well as Sebastian, thank you so much for helping me on my wedding day, I didn't even ask for water before I walked down the aisle and you brought me some, which was so thoughtful of you! From me and my husband from our hearts thank you so much for all you've done If anyone wants a true recommendation for a hotel this is it for a first experience in Rome, I understand the price but it is well worth it. “authentic experience, luxury and comfort”
If you want a great Rome experience in a hotel that's not a chain American hotel, this is a wonderful place. The rooms are large and comfortable, service is great, and the people staying there are a blend of nationalities. Sure, plenty of English speaking people, and the staff is pretty much biling… more
If you want a great Rome experience in a hotel that's not a chain American hotel, this is a wonderful place. The rooms are large and comfortable, service is great, and the people staying there are a blend of nationalities. Sure, plenty of English speaking people, and the staff is pretty much bilingual (at least), but a real international clientele. And it's 3 blocks from the colosseum. The terrace, on the top floor, has a view, so you can eat or have a drink and look at the colosseum. Most sites are within walking distance, and we never took a cab or the metro while we were there.
