For the last 4 or 5 years we choose to stay in this hotel. It is a a very good hotel, a historical (150 years old) "albergo", by the Opera building. A very well decorated, klean and sfficiently managed hotel. We 've stayed in a very large with a high ceiling room, facing the quiet back garden. We enjoyed the rich breakfast in a pleasant environment. All the personel were polite and very efficient. The location of the hotel is very convenient (metro, buses, taxi) and is only 10-15 minutes walk to the very touristic centre of Rome or to the main train station.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything and gives easy access to everything. The train that will take you anywhere for 3-7 euro. The rooms are confusing at first. The hotel is right in the middle of everything and gives easy access to everything. The train that will take you anywhere for 3-7 euro. The rooms are confusing at first. You need to insert your room key on the wall first before you can use the power. The WiFi is good for booking things and checking email, not for steaming. The hotel is clean and has an old Victorian era vibe to it. The art it has is impeccable. The restaurant below is managed by Katherine and is force that gives the best service for all that visit. I.e the kitchen was able to serve over +400 random guest for one breakfast session. Expect clean starched tables, piano playing (at dinner only) and great authentic food. My only complaint is the walls are thin so you may have neighbors that are loud. This is solved quickly however by calling the front desk. Looking forward to staying again in the future,

I booked this hotel based on the great reviews it received and we weren’t disappointed. It was a beautiful hotel with professional staff and so well located. We walked to all of the key locations easily. Breakfast was excellent and enjoyed in the beautiful dining room. It is also very close to the train station. Loved it.

“Excellent hotel”
A recommended hotel, the service, the food, the cleanliness and the size of the rooms, close to the metro and public bus stations, Except for the water pressure in the shower which was weak, but that's because they probably don't want the floor to flood.

“In the Heart of Rome”
The hotel was beautiful and extremely central to getting around the city. Close to Termini and Republic metro stations. The hotel was beautiful and extremely central to getting around the city. Close to Termini and Republic metro stations. Cabs are plentiful around the city so having the hotel call a cab is super fast (be sure to confirm the cabbie's name for the pick-up.) We shared a triple room which was tucked back from the lobby on the 5th floor. It worked really well and was enormous. Spotlessly clean, as was the entire hotel. The staff was attentive and seemed pleased to welcome you to the hotel. As a previous general manager of a large hotel, staff makes the difference. We took advantage of their airport transfer and that was well worth the amount charged. Access to our room floor was via an antique elevator which had some minor issues with people not closing the doors - that stalls the elevator on that floor. A bit of a hassle but the fun of the elevator itself made it a minor concern. Bigger signs needed maybe is multiple languages. Breakfast was included in our room rate and while there was plenty of selections of pastries and fruit, the hot items were the same every day and just sort of bland. That was our only "complaint" about the stay. I would highly recommend the hotel and send a big thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay.
