Pretty close to the center (6 stations to Termini) and the hotel itself is 250 meters distant from the subway station. In near surrounding are two markets (TuoDi and Pam Express) and several greengroceries, where you can do your basic shopping. There is also a few restaurants and cafés with great prices. As I mentioned in the title: "I warmly recommend this hotel to everyone."

Those from the UK will understand what I mean by the title of this review. We wanted a budget hotel for our first trip to Rome and the reviews generally suggested this hotel could fit the bill. It is an odd place, occupying space in a block of flats with a tiny reception area. Our aim was to spend full days in Rome and use the hotel for nothing more than a place to sleep. The room was on the small side but who needs space to sleep? Beds were comfortable and importantly the room and bathroom very clean. The English speaking reception staff - no more than one on duty at a time were helpful and polite and only too willing to force upon us the free cakes by the drinks machine. The reception is manned 24 hours and security was not a concern. The metro station is about a 5 minutes walk with places to grab breakfast on the go. The area is a large residential one so be prepared for a squashed tube journey! If you want facilities and atmosphere this is not the place for you. If you want a comfortable bed and decent shower at an affordable price, and are happy to have a short commute in then this hotel is absolutely perfect. Should add - it is very easy to get to and from Fiucimo airport. Internet access a bit hit and miss - but we were away to relax and this did not unduly worry us. One downside - the walls are quite thin and if you have noisy neighbours you will hear them. But if you have had a full on day then you should be too tired to care!

“Rona Resort, 5 Night Stay”

We arrived in Rome at night, and everything's always harder to find when in the dark, but the hotel's location is pretty good. Look for a gold plaque with 'Rona Resort' in cursive above a call button box. There are two small grocery stores nearby, as well as a handful of cafes, pizza places and bars. A little further down the main street, there's a park, some nicer cafes and a larger grocery store. To get there, I'd recommend taking the metro to Furio Camillo. It's closer than Ponte Lungo (the stop before). I think it's worth staying a bit outside of the city center because it's more affordable, you see a more regular picture of Rome and you generally get more space. The room itself is alright for the cost. You overlook a nice courtyard and even get a balcony. Reception hands you a paper with a map of the local area and a legend for all the things nearby. They don't change the sheets or towels everyday, but they promise to do the sheets every four days and the towels every three, I think. Unfortunately, our sheets never got changed. They're a little anal about check out, with sings everywhere saying "You must check out at 10:30," and "If you cause problems for guest checking in you'll be fined..." Also, one time we forgot to drop off the key when were running downstairs for just a moment, and the guy at reception gave us a long reminder to always drop it off. Internet was also really spotty. And the mattress left a lot to be desired. It's the little things. We're not upset with it, but we wouldn't go back.
