Everything was outstanding! The location is amazing. You can go everywhere on foot and the area is quiet with a lot of excellent restaurants around. If you’d rather not walk, there are plenty of bus stops. The rooms are silent and they have all the amenities you need. Super clean! Nice beds and great pillows. Delicious breakfast with a great variety of fresh products. Nice background music in the lobby. Although the best of it all is the staff! Friendly, helpful and efficient. Kudos to Alexandra, she made our stay a lovely one! It was my mum’s birthday and they arranged some balloons in our room as a surprise for her. They also prepared a breakfast box one morning that we had an early day trip. Special mention to Simone too! He was super kind and attentive during breakfast. If I travel to Rome again, I will choose this hotel for sure.

THE GOOD This hotel has lots of lovely historic features. It's not your modern Hilton. We had a lovely room of good size away from the access road. The room we had would be rated 9/10. The staff were extremely helpful and I can rate our experience of them as 10/10. The cleanliness was also 10/10. The position for us worked perfectly. It's within 8 minutes walk to Rome Termini rail station No taxi required if travelling light as we do and not an expensive taxi ride if needed. As a first time visitor to Rome we found the ease of use of the non-stop train from the airport to Termini at Euro 14 for the 30 minutes 1st class ticket a great solution. The hotel Position is very good if you like a short walk to various restaurants and shops, and a little longer for some of the must see offerings of the city, these can otherwise be easily accessed by the metro or local buses. The street Via Napoli is not unlike so many here in Rome old town. It's not the smartest but then so what! It's convenient. I personally would prefer a great hotel with easy public transport as opposed to a prime location and missing the experience of getting comfortable with the cheap public transport. THE BAD We did experience some neighbouring room noise approaching midnight. My solution (it works) is to bang the wall loudly 4 times. The message gets heard. Wherever you go there's always the selfish tourist that forgets their fellow guests, or the time. But then we all usually have to leave for early flights - it just life. The only other thing that, in my opinion, and mentioned by others is the breakfast offerings. I cannot figure out why for a range of baked products from bread to pastries they can be so dried out. These were left open to the air and not protected from being almost inedible. The cooked offering was only overcooked bacon in oil or yesterday's scrambled eggs. The fresh coffee was good. The fruit juices were sweet carton versions. Perhaps I needed to get up earlier! The staff have been made aware of opportunities to resolve this issue. I must say however that the dining area is stunning. Would I visit again? Yes. but I would explore nearby breakfast alternatives before possibly paying to have these in the hotel. But I'm content with just a couple of FRESH CROISSANTS and an Americano Coffee. Visit and enjoy. It's a great city and well worth exploring on foot. You will not find more lovely staff than is offered at The Brittania Hotel in Via Napoli, Rome.
