Best thing about this hotel is the location. It is across the street just to the right of Gotanda Station's west exit upon exiting. Since it is next to the station, you can access Asakusa subway line- great for taking the local line for Narita access, the JR Yamanote loop, and the bus and taxi stands just outside the Gotanda station. Of course, you need to bear with the noise of the trains from the Gotanda station which cannot be totally blocked out by the windows. But no big deal unless you really want total quiet. There are malls and lots of food and drinking places around. There is a family mart just at the entrance of the hotel. The hotel was clean overall. Check in and out was smooth. You need to pay upfront upon check in. The room size was good for a Tokyo hotel. Get a triple room as the space is even better even if there are three persons in the room. Heating during winter was good. There are 2 laundry rooms in 2 separate floors in the hotel with a washer and dryer that you can use for free- 5 units washer and 5 dryers per room. There are detergent and softener that you can buy from a vendo in the laundry rooms. There are vendo for drinks and ice and microwave in every floor. Breakfast place is quite small and food spread mostly japanese breakfast choices although there are bread and fruit and scrambled eggs and sausages/bacon for a more continental breakfast. They provide baggage forwarding services to the airport for a very reasonable fee so that you don't have to bring around big luggages esp when taking the train back to the airport- just make sure to drop your luggages 48h prior to your departure flight. Great mid-budget hotel choice when in Tokyo for its accesibility to transport and location for food and shopping choices. Great base when in Tokyo.

Great location: you can see the hotel from Platform 2 (JR Yamanote Line) of Gotanda Station (see pix taken after check-out). Staff are friendly and eager to help. Never had a problem finding someone who spoke English. Our twin room lacked a closet and only had 7 or so clothes hangers, but the beds were comfortable. The toilet/bath were clean with strong running water. Other amenities were a flatscreen TV, electric kettle with tea sachets, a small ref and a hair dryer. There was also a room on the same floor with a microwave and ice machine. On the ground floor was a Family Mart and an Izakaya with a friendly, informal vibe. The second floor had an Italian restaurant that served pretty good pasta. This was also the breakfast place, but I never tried it. In a 60-meter radius, you could find all types of restaurants. There were also girly bars nearby, but we never felt unsafe. On our last date, its proximity to the station made our trip to Narita pretty early in the morning-- first trip to Shinagawa and the Keikyu Narita Express is at 4.50+AM-- pretty easy. Really a great location. Photos include street view of hotel after exiting Gotanda station and view towards the station after exiting the hotel.

This hotel offers a reasonable price to have a twin room when compared to those nearby hotels. Location is good , 3 mins walking distance to JR Gotanda station. This hotel offers a reasonable price to have a twin room when compared to those nearby hotels. Location is good , 3 mins walking distance to JR Gotanda station. Room is big enough and my two pieces big luggage were not a problem. The room is clean and tidy as well. But the air con and poor sound proof windows (hotel located near train station, makes all rooms have same problem), may be a problem for some people. Breakfast was ok, price wise again, I would not expect variety of food and drinks, just some average food good enough to fill you up breakfast time. Staff are very friendly and helpful. In that area, I presume that this is the best choice (price wise).
