A hotel with very honest hotel staff. I left my brand new charger and cable behind by the bedside. I thought it was gone forever. But when the same tour leader went back to the hotel with another group one month later, they handed it over to him. And they even told him I stayed in the room so he could identify its mine. We were travelling in a group of 13. Thank you San Miguel hotel! BTW, it's a charming hotel with spacious bedroom and nice breakfast! Thank you again.

This hotel is a hidden gem in the center of the old city. It has the friendliest staff who helped us with tours, restaurants, and laundry. We had breakfast every morning in the restaurant. My pick is the avocado toast. Fabulous. This haven is very clean with workers dusting and washing all day and night. They are all so friendly and warm. We stayed ten days, and after a few we discovered the upper gardens which has lounge chairs and a separate bathroom and tv room. The plantings are a wonderful touch and exotic as well. We could easily walk everywhere in the city of Oaxaca from Hotel Parador San Miguel and hired drivers to take us to the sites outside the city. We highly recommend this jewel.

We stayed at the Parador San Miguel for 4 nights during our tour of Mexico & were extremely happy at this lovely boutique hotel. It is ideally located in central Oaxaca only a couple of blocks from the Cathedral & the Zocalo main square & a ten minute walk from San Domingo Church, the Museum of Cultures & the botanical gardens (all recommended). The hotel is very comfortable & the service we received from the staff was exemplary - they were all friendly, helpful & courteous. When we were there, an elevator had been installed & looked complete but was not working as it had not yet been commissioned. The hotel has a restaurant & bar as well as a lovely courtyard & a roof terrace on the 3rd floor with plenty of seating with sunshades. There are plenty of restaurants & bars in the local vicinity. Our rate included breakfast which was perfect to set us up for the day - orange juice, fresh fruit, eggs (scrambled or fried) bacon or ham, refried beans, bread with butter & jam & tea or coffee. It was very warm during our visit & the air conditioning in our room was excellent, cooling the room down in a matter of minutes & was also very quiet. Our room was internal & did not have an external window but that didn’t bother us as we didn’t spend a lot of time in there & it was very quiet - being so centrally located, the surrounding streets are busy & quite noisy. We had a superb stay & have no hesitation in recommending this hotel highly.

This hotel is AMAZING! I cannot say enough good things. The staff was incredibly helpful. We had a two year old with us and they welcomed him with open arms. When my friend was sick, they did everything they could to help us. Everyone greets you with a smile and the restaurant is fantastic. The location is phenomenal, as it is right near the Zocalo. We rented a car and they had great valet service for parking it. By the end of the trip, they felt like family. I have been to Mexico ten times, and this was by far the best hotel experience. You won’t be disappointed!
