“A gem in Marrakesh”
We stayed at the riad for 4 nights. Although we didn't eat at the restaurant we had breakfast in the riad and poolside lunches which were fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful. The place is spotless and the beds very comfortable. We would recommend this riad without hesitation.

Riad Al Fassia, Aguedal, Marakech The dynamic duo sister owners have put a modernized twist on the medina-style riad, emphasizing client delight and staff satisfaction. Over the course of our three day stay al Riad al Fassia, we observed a unique level of planning and professionalism to easily accommodate large tours and small groups, with the same attentiveness. My wife, adult daughter and I were a third into our two week tour of Morocco when we stayed three nights at Riad al Fassia in Aguedal Marrakech. We arrived at al Fassia’s curb-side check-in travel weary. We were in our suite and changed within a moment of mint tea. After enjoying a brief swim in the heated outdoor pool, we ordered fries and drinks by the pool surrounded by tropical grounds, then basked in the sun until it set over the wall. Riad al Fassia is within 15 minutes of the main sites, so after a jaunt to the bustling Jemaa el-Fanaa square, we returned to the riad and slept well into the next morning. Since dining services aren’t done in the courtyard where guests stay, there’s a lot less noise. And this is when we discovered just how professional the staff were at al Fassia. I came out of our suite early, like 06:45, and the night guard turned on the lights and asked if I needed anything. Within moments, my family was enjoying carafes of coffee and hot milk. We even took our coffee quietly the next two mornings in the courtyard. This is a touch not seen at other riads in two weeks and six riads. This elegant riad has a traditional layout with well tended courtyard gardens surrounded by three stories of rooms and parlors ranging in sizes. The rooms have modern amenities and continuous hot water. The space heater and hair dryer made bathing cozy despite near freezing outdoor temperatures. (We were swimming the afternoon before.) The dining facilities attached to the riad are exquisite. The appetizer spreads for breakfast and dinner are elaborate and traditional and the menu has a nice sample of Moroccan cuisine. They were kind enough to prepare side dishes to appease my daughter’s upset stomach from Essaouira. All staff that we encountered greeted us with a friendly smile and a sincere welcome. We had the impression that staff were all treated equitably and fairly, as they did not differ service based on referrals or tipping. Riad al Fassia is a gem to be experienced!

I can’t wait to return again! Amazing service, the staff were so lovely and nothing was a problem to sort. I arrived late and there was the most amazing tagine waiting for me - simply delicious. Breakfast is in a beautiful room and was a perfect start to the day. I was lucky to have 25C days in November and spent time by the pool with a glass of wine, a book and a delicious lunch. I ate in the restaurant one night and everything was so tasty - a beautiful setting too. The location is about 15 minutes in a taxi to the medina (only pay 50 MAD, 5 euros!) but I was happy to pay that to return to this absolute haven - so peaceful and welcoming.

Al Fassia is a unique hotel, traditional hospitality coupled with 5 star service. From the moment I stepped through the large wooden gate I knew I was in for a treat! I was staying solo for 14 nights with a 4 day trip to the Sahara in the middle. The first few days I relaxed by the pool. Yes it is heated, and yes it is warm enough to swim in December! Food is served all day until 5pm around the pool or in the lounge and is a mix of morrocan and international. Hammid, Imrad, Hammza and Youseff are always on hand with fresh towels and for me, plenty of English Tea! I felt totally spoilt and nothing seemed too much trouble. Narkis, Younes, Momu & Zineb in reception are so friendly and welcoming and seem genuinely interested in what you have to say. Im sure they were bored looking at my endless holiday snaps! But, these guys wrote the book on great hospitality and excel at it! The room I had was spacious and warm, with lovely views of the gardens, and I had fresh fruit and Moroccan sweets put in my room each week. The ladies who cleaned everyday were lovely and the place is spotless! I used the laundry service too which was very good. Room service is prompt and readily available, even on very early mornings if you have a trip booked. The hotel itself is out of town. About a 15 min drive. You will need to taxi in and out to the Medina but tour buses will collect you from there if you are going on a trip. There is a good shopping mall and a few great cafes nearby that are a 5 min easy, safe walk and 2 ATMs. The wifi is good in all areas of the hotel and gardens. The hotel is absolutely stunning. The gardens are very pretty and all lit up at night. I had a Hamnan and massage which were very good and the ladies who did the treatments, professional, funny and welcoming. Not only did Myra and all her staff ( and there are many) provide great hospitality they showed great care towards me too. It really felt like a home from home. If you need a break from reality, this is the place! Thank-you all for helping me on my healing journey, I’ll be back! Love Sally xx
