Lovely would recommend. Cheap and cheerful. Don’t know why people are so negative about this place, I would stay here again. Clean, beds made everyday, clean towels, friendly staff. Located twenty minute walk from the square, and the souks. Off licence around the corner, which sells plenty of beer, wine and spirits. £11.00, for a bottle of wine and six beers. Highly recommended!!!

Me and my partner stayed here for 4 nights. We had an email 2 days before we arrived to say that if we wanted to check in after 8pm we would need to phone ahead to let them know which was fine as we didn’t expect to arrive that late, unfortunately on the day our flight in to Marrakesh was diverted to Agadir and our expected time to get to the hotel obviously then changed once we were through customs at Agadir airport I rang the hotel to inform them that we probably wouldn’t arrive until 1.30am after the person on the other side of the phone finished speaking in Arabic I replied in English and they put the phone down on me so with this encounter we were very worried that no one would understand us. When we arrived thankfully the man on the desk (unfortunately I didn’t get his name) but he was most helpful and got us checked in it took around 10 minutes as he had to fill in paperwork but we didn’t mind waiting and once he was finished another gentleman took us up to our room which was very unexpected. The whole hotel needs a major improvement and updating. The AC in our room leaked the whole time we were there both inside the room and outside the room on the balcony meaning we couldn’t sit on the balcony because it was constantly flooded with the leaked water, the bed sheets were stained and the lighting in the room was awful, bright spotlights in the ceiling is needed more than anything most nights I was showering in the dark as the light directly above the shower was broken, the water pressure was okay but some nights I would get in the shower and it was scolding hot and when I turned it cold it would turn off or it would just be trickling out still scolding hot despite me turning it to cold, we only stored water bottles in the fridge but the fridge was dirty and the seals were broken and it was completely frozen over. The toilet seat was not secured down and you would have to hold it when using the toilet as it would constantly move. We used the pool a few times but it was dirty one morning we went down and there was a white substance in all the corners of the pool and the pool was always very cloudy, I often when swimming would have random hair get caught on my fingers, although there was a childrens pool and a deeper pool most children didn’t use the smaller pool and opted to use the bigger pool which is fine but most children were unaccompanied and I didn’t see any lifeguards around the pool, there were always stagnant water the outside of the pool with wet floor signs next to the them which is massively unsafe there were many people that slipped and there was one young boy maybe around 4 running and slipped on this pool of water and cracked his head on the floor and no one from the hotel seemed to come running. The sunbeds around the pool are either broken or sunken in or mouldy and not comfortable at all. We did try the breakfast one morning it was nothing spectacular there was a basket of bread and pastries a hot drink of choice and a orange juice 2 different styles of pancakes and a hard boiled egg and an assortment of butters and jams it filled a hole and that’s the main thing. Everyday without fail if we had been out to the pool for a few hours or we had been out on one of our excursions we would come back to our room and the key card for the room wouldn’t work everyday I had to go and get the room card recoded which was a huge pain. As I sit here currently we are sitting waiting in the waiting room near reception waiting on our transfer back to the airport, it’s currently 42 degrees outside and there is no aircon anywhere in the hotel apart from in the rooms which for brits is unbearable heat. For the price we paid for this it’s extremely cheap you wouldn’t find anything this cheap back in the uk for 4 nights so I suppose I can’t complain much just a few recommendations on how to make everyone’s stay maybe a bit more enjoyable.

This is my second time in Morocco, but as I have a Moroccan friend I am more than aware of customs and cuisines. We choose the Mogador Menzah for its price and location. Not to bad, we have been here four days so long enough to know about the place but not too long as to be negative or bias. The food is not too bad, basic and if your not fussy breakfast is ok. Our room was basic but clean, cleaner has been in and changed sheets ever other day so far, room is spotless to be fair, although the kitchenette should be refurbished. Very good location and close to most attraction. Taxi to main square at 50dhm. Taxi to airport 100 dhm. If you are fancy horse and carriage is 60 dhm from Kotoubia mosques. Plenty of restaurants around and clubs. Supermarket just 400 meters away. We had very nice stay and brilliant time. Thank you to staff and especially night porter who was very kind.
