Riad Dar Aman is an exceptional place in the Medina. I would stay here time and time again. We were stranded for 5 days and we received nothing but support, kindness and so much help. Mohammad, Saida and her parents are the most wonderful people my friend and I could have met in Morocco. They would come everyday and take are of us. There was nothing more reassuring than hearing Saida on her motorcycle every day. These are pure gems. The food - was fabulous, the daily teas was just what we needed. Most of all the upper terrace and orange blossoms in the courtyard were incredible. I highly recommend this Riad because of the people --- they will take care of you in your time of need. This is huge!!!

“Oasis in the Marrakesh Medina”

I am truly at lack for words. Arriving from Essaouira on the west cost by bus, the host of Riad Dar Aman offered to arrange for a pickup at the bus station, which I happily accepted. The Riad is stone-throw away from the big market in the centre of the Medina and thus with very limited access for cars unless it's early morning or very very late at night. But my host Mohamed met me where the transport left off and as we walked the short distance to his Riad he made shure I got my bearings … and boy, what a life saver that turned out to be later on during my stay. Once inside of the Riad Del Aman itself everything came to a standstill ... to a halt … time slowed down … despite the fact being situated so close to Marrakesh most busiest squares, some 2 minutes away. To top all that Mohamed chooses to offer only 4 large rooms and thus leaving much space for guests to enjoy the tranquility of the enclosed courtyard and roof terrace. It really goes without saying that Mohamed also arranged transport to the airport, multiple advice on local sites and restaurants. PS: If you have a chance to book the main suite, the extra cost is worth every Dirham spent!

This Riad offers excellent quality. Inside a traditional building, recently renovated, is perfectly balanced, combining contemporary facilities and a great atmosphere. The building is rises -like all Riads- around a yard. All the rooms have doors and windows facing this yard. The yard is the heart of the Riad. It's peaceful and quiet, shaded by banana trees and ornated with a small fountain. You can sit there relaxing for a hours, reading your book without any distruction, except the song of the birds. Here is also served the breakfast. The breakfast is very good in quality and variety. They serve traditional crepes and bread, fried eggs, marmalades and honey, butter, cheese, fresh squized orange juice, coffee and tea. Our room was in the ground floor (berbere room) and there nothing to criticize. Big comfy bed, effective airconditioning, nice shower with warm water all the time, cleaning products. Everything was extremly clean and tidy. But the big advantage of this Riad is the people who run it. The Manager is man of excellent quality, very polite, fluent in English and French, very organized and with very useful tips. He is always accessible and willing to help and give information. An ideal host with a big smile and good manners. Thank you Mohamed.

Riad Dar Aman was our first introduction to a riad. The location is incredible - right in the heart of the Medina in a quiet area. Monsour welcomed us with Moroccan mint tea when we arrived. The riad has a beautiful top deck and the inside is open air with rooms around the opening on two floors. Mohamed was extremely helpful checking us into our room and giving us information about the city and area. We stayed in the downstairs room for 8 days and it was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we felt like we were in a home during our stay. I took one star off a perfect rating because we stayed at another riad around the same price and it seemed a little nicer. The owner needs to put a little more money and attention into a few things to make this a perfect five stars. Outside of those small issues this place was perfect.
