Lovely quiet place with awesome breakfast. Not fancy but very clean, safe and super duper convenient with the busy Medina just a few streets away. What made this place was the amazingly ind and helpful staff. The tours they set up with local guides were so affordable and the quality was ten stars! They arranged our airport transport late at night, and I was a bit nervous as it was our first time in Morocco. The driver was on time, professional and at the entrance to the Medina, the hotel sent an employee to meet our car to transport our bags in a wheeled device as there's no cars in the Medina. So easy! Tour to Atlas mountains should not be missed, as well as private tour of the Medina arranged by Riad. The beds were very comfortable. The staff washed my laundry and got some serious stains out. Nice touch is that there's delicious sweets in your room upon check in. Everyone speaks perfect English, from staff to guides to drivers. Very nice stay!

I must say I'm a person that doesn't easily write reviews but appreciates the importance for other travellers. This my quick overview. Here you go... The accommodation is lovely. Fresh with a modern/contemporary feel. The room we stayed in was clean and well equipped with soaps, fresh towels, slippers, safe, bath robes, hair dryer, shampoos etc and enough plugs for your charge cables (converter required) no direct USB sockets. You get a key to your room and a key to the front door to let yourself in. Plenty of hot water in the shower room. Beds are firm (if you've been to Turkey or Italy you know what i mean) but comfy. Room has TV and aircon but we didn't need it. TIP: We arranged in advance for the Rhiad to arrange the airport taxi transfer (about 25mins) and a 'barrow man' to transport our luggage from the taxi to the door (would recommend you do this otherwise you may struggle to find it). Just email them. The cost is added to your bill - not expensive. We pre booked a meal for the first night as we were going to arrive late afternoon and tired. We both had a lovely 3 course meal and the service was great. Note: No alcohol is available on site. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Fresh croissants and orange juice, omelettes, help yourself coffee/milk...teas if you preferred, tasty jams, flat breads, sliced oranges and honey. Some mornings we had a fresh fruit cocktail as well and small pieces of cake. Plenty to start your day. All the staff were friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, spoke very good English and nothing was too much trouble. Don't be afraid to ask for advice/prices/prebooking etc if you need to get to a tourist attraction. We didn't want to leave! We'll be back. Thank you.

We had a wonderful trip. The Riad is in a great location for the square and surrounds with in the old town and is all the best bits of a traditional Riad alike side the service of a professional and very friendly top class family hotel. The staff really do stand out and go above and beyond and the massage was one of the better ones I have had and I am very fussy about my massages. I came with my mum for a short break and we had the most lovely relaxing time. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We have just returned from a pleasant stay (three nights) at the Riad L'Etoile d' Orient. The Riad is in a nice and quiet location within the souks and close to Jemaa El-Fnaa. The staff was friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. The room, while not bright, was clean and well equipped. Unfortunately, the room Bahim being located at the ground floor next to the entrance of the Riad, is noisy in the evening and in the morning, depending on the in and out flux of the other guests (e.g. for breakfast). We were a bit disappointed that at breakfast the “thé à la menthe” was not served as per Moroccan tradition (i.e. teapot with dried and fresh mint leaves) but instead as commercial tea bags and hot water. As per service list proposed by the Riad, the staff kindly arranged a delightful hammam and a full body massage. Overall, we recommend this Riad should you wish to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Marrakesh
