I stayed three nights at L'Etoil d'Orient in late November 2024. Communication from the owner beforehand was efficient and helpful. The riad is less than five minutes walk from the main square, on a quiet side street, so very convenient to walk in the medina. The rooms were super clean, breakfast was served on the roof terrace and the staff were all extremely courteous and helpful. The others in my group enjoyed the spa treatments. Highly recommended - I would stay here again.

From the warm welcome and hospitality of Mr Aemen and Mr Abdul to the incredible professionalism of Mr Azedine who also took time to show us the map of Marrakech and explain different routes and how to engage the locals. The cook and the assistant manager were also incredibly in their dealings with. The food was great too. I strongly recommend this Riad to anyone looking to visit Marrakech. It’s worth the stay.

Stayed two nights here at the start of our Moroccan (and indeed African) adventure. The property is a short walk away from the Main Square and Market Place at the old town area of Marrakech. Despite the busyness outside, it sits in tranquility punctuated occasionally by the Muslim call to prayer. Because cars are not allowed inside after 1 pm, we had help getting our luggage from the drop off area to the Riad. Bewildering at first, one quickly gets the hang of the area. The outside of the Riad could not begin to hint at the elegance of the property inside nor the high level of service provided by the staff of the 7-room property. We were briefed on the area at check-in and given some pointers in dealing with the locals before being shown to our downstairs room. We even gave the hammam a go. With skin exfoliated and a bit of detoxing done, we had our pre-ordered dinner on the first night. It was an excellent introduction to Moroccan food. Breakfast was served in the dining area consisting pastries, bread and omelet. Simple and satisfying. The room itself was of decent size. Had a small fridge with some beverages and a kettle with coffee and tea facilities. The WiFi mostly worked although the satellite TV had some difficulty with English channels but we were not in town to watch TV. Second night, we made our way to a belly dancing dinner show. Best be careful walking outside at night as it gets even more crowded than during the day. Our guide had warned us about pickpockets. We tried having some laundry done here (a T-shirt and some pants) with varying degree of satisfaction. Best do it somewhere else is our suggestion. Still, we had a wonderful time at the Riad L’Etoile D’Orient and would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a tranquil stay amidst the action outside in the UNESCO World Heritage site.

The location is very central , just a short walk from the main square but it is very quiet in the Rhiad and you would not think you were so close to everything . I would not hesitate to stay here again

We have just returned from a pleasant stay (three nights) at the Riad L'Etoile d' Orient. The Riad is in a nice and quiet location within the souks and close to Jemaa El-Fnaa. The staff was friendly, helpful and made us very welcome. The room, while not bright, was clean and well equipped. Unfortunately, the room Bahim being located at the ground floor next to the entrance of the Riad, is noisy in the evening and in the morning, depending on the in and out flux of the other guests (e.g. for breakfast). We were a bit disappointed that at breakfast the “thé à la menthe” was not served as per Moroccan tradition (i.e. teapot with dried and fresh mint leaves) but instead as commercial tea bags and hot water. As per service list proposed by the Riad, the staff kindly arranged a delightful hammam and a full body massage. Overall, we recommend this Riad should you wish to enjoy the lively atmosphere of Marrakesh
