“Enchantingly perfect in every way”

The food was delicious, the staff were so kind and friendly, a 20 mins walk to the central Souks or 2 mins walk to get a taxi. The roof top terrace is insanely beautiful. Our room was lovely and the air con was such a bonus. Will never forget our enchanting stay in this peaceful oasis of calm and tranquility.

Communication with the Riad before we arrived was excellent and we arranged a driver to take us from the airport. I can't begin to explain how beautiful the Riad is, it is stunning and a very relaxing oasis in the hustle of the Medina. We visited with two teens and very much appreciated having a suite with separate bedroom for the kids and close to the pool etc. Breakfast was delicious, pancakes, cake, yogurts, all very nice. The Riad were very accommodating of us eating inside to escape the insects who also fancied some. The inside space was welcoming and we enjoyed a game of Moroccan Monopoly. The Riad was about a 20-30 minute walk from the middle of the Medina. It felt safe, needed to be on alert for motorbikes. It was about a 15 minute walk from Jardin Marjorelle. Because we were visiting in the height of summer we went out in the morning and spent time in the afternoon around the pool which was shaded and beautiful. The teens loved the tortoises too. Thank you Riad Laila.

Riad Laila, is a haven of tranquility away from the craziness of the Médina and souks. Mohammed made us feel most welcome on our arrival and continued to do so throughout our stay, always willing to help and advise us, as did the rest of the team at Riad Laila. There was plenty of space for all the guests to find a private place around the central pool or on the roof terraces to relax. Everything is kept impeccably clean. We had an evening meal on our first day, which was delicious. I would recommend booking a meal at the Riad on your first day, rather than stepping out into the labyrinth of streets and alleys outside. Top tourist tips, walk on the right (if you don’t, you immediately look lost). Be wary of directions or anyone telling you they will show you the way, other than from anyone than those given by the team at Riad Laila. Make sure you can use your data roaming either by pre-purchasing a SIM card or checking with your provider what upgrade you can have to give you access to google maps especially while out. You will get lost, but that is all part of the wonderfully lively experience that is Marrakech!

Even the neighbourhood is lovely, not a lot of tourists around, just people living their lives in the medina.

Most importantly we were made to feel SO welcome by the staff here but I have to give a special mention to Mohammed. Honestly, if you get the pleasure of meeting this beautiful soul then you will understand exactly what I mean. Gaëlle was also lovely. We were made to feel like the riad was OUR home for the time we spent there and not to mention the place was one of the most stunning places I’ve ever seen. We will absolutely return! Thank you Laura, Jordan & girls
