Nesuto St Martins is a pleasant and comfortable establishment. Staff are friendly and generally efficient. Housekeeping service while not frequent is good and adequate. “Stay for medical purposes ”
This accommodation was provided by the health department as we had a family member in Auckland Hospital. This accommodation was provided by the health department as we had a family member in Auckland Hospital. Good points: close to the hospital (15min walk), big bathroom with a washing machine and dryer. Has a kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, microwave and 2 ring hotplate. Not so good: as I was traveling with my friends husband I had searched for places with a separate bedroom. After the hospital made the booking I rang to confirm details. I asked if it had a separate bedroom and was told it did. The picture shown for the room showed a large 3-seater couch. I asked if this had a pull out bed and was told no. I then asked if the couch was big enough for me to sleep on and was told yes. Basically, what I was told was untrue. There was no separate bedroom, and the couch turned out to be a small 2-seater (with cracked upholstery) and nowhere near big enough to sleep on. If they had answered truthfully I would have brought an air bed to sleep on. The office wouldn't answer their phone, so I went back to reception. They offered me a stretcher at$30 per night, which they eventually dropped to $20/night. The room is very tired, carpet is threadbare. Reception isn't that responsive. Don't always answer (understand they could be busy), but don't call back either We were told on check-in supplies would be topped up on day 3 and full service 4 days later. On day 3 we weren't topped up and when I asked was told "oh they changed the rules yesterday ". No communication to anyone. They did bring up what I requested. First photo is the room advert.
