“Fantastic hotel and location”

We stayed here for a week over my birthday at the end of Nov into Dec. The hotel is located just a short walk from the main train station, so we had no problems getting anywhere. Plus we had to Oslo Card for our duration. Our room was clean and comfortable, you have to opt into housekeeping and let them know the night before. We were fine with just towel changes. The staff at the hotel all speak perfect English and always happy to help. We had an issue one day with hot water. The man on reception arranged for maintenance to attend and everything was working fine. He took the time to update us and said that if we had any further issues, they would move us to a different room as didn't want it ruining our stay. We got bed and breakfast board, but evening meals are included at no extra cost. We actually ate here 4 out of the 7 nights we stayed. Only choosing to eat out when the menu wasn't to our tastes, but that's not the hotel's fault, just personal taste. Another great feature of the hotel is the coffee machine in reception you can use 24hrs free of charge. The coffee was decent too, and if passing during sightseeing, we would pop in and get a takeout. These help to keep costs down as Oslo is notoriously expensive. Would definitely stay here again, amazing staff, friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great location and facilities.

Good location walking distance to Oslo Opera House and main station. Friendly staff and generally clean and comfortable rooms.

“Gréât food and staff, good location, rooms need refurbishing!”
Gréât supper, breakfast, afternoon tea and cake and staff! The rooms and restaurant/ bar furnishings definitely need refurbishing! Good location- close to station and opera house and can walk into town. It was strange having 5 star toiletries, food and staff but only 3 star room.

Rooms very old and need of facelift. We had a picture in our room hiding a whole in the wall and some kind of gum tape holding the fridge together. The paint was peeling of our skirting boards. The standard room we got had no room for a big suitcase and had to pay an extra 400nk p.n for a bigger room. On the plus side the hotel is close to the opera house, so great location. Tip park in front carpark 200nk p.d dont pay 400nk not worth in. The plus side is half board foid. The breakfast fantastic beat any 5 star hotel with fresh bread each day & good selection. Dinner also was exceptional!! Hats off to catering staff. My kids loved salad selection & mains dish! The 1 bar staff member also great. Food fabuluous!! We didnt want to leave.
