House keeping; Our guy ( Chamod) was very helpful and nice. Breakfast ; Most of it good but not the bread section. No real dark bread. Only dark toast bread. Hummus and mutebbel has no taste at all. It is a pity. The people who serves there are very friendly specially Novie. Thanks again to the entire staff. For the price what you pay it was a disappointment. Sorry

We returned to one of the most beautiful resorts in the world, 3 hotels in a stunning bay with gorgeous beaches and backed by ochre cliffs. This time we opted to stay at Al Husan and can't fault the hotel in any way- a luxurious treat. A couple of 5* restaurants with pre theatre drinks and afternoon tea - delightful. Last visit however - 5 years ago- we stayed on the main beach - again lovely hotels and were delighted by the buffet restaurant; in fact we ate there every night. Not being fond of buffets generally this was a world apart. Sadly this year the standard has deteriorated; the food on offer was of a much inferior quality and choice and for £52 a pop really not good enough. So we persuaded our daughter and family not to stay there this spring as the alternatives with children were not the best. When we were there the Chinese restaurant was closed so the italien or the bland restaurant at Al Wadi were the choices. A young couple were driving into town each night for a £10 meal rather than eat at resort. The amazing fish restaurant near the beach I believe is for older children only. Al Husan however was fab- it doesn't make the most of what it offers. I only realised the 3 hotels host a selection of prestigious local art when I read a book about this in the library. Most people wouldn't know there was a library or snooker room as it's not advertised. Odd. Same for the car museum. I look forward to returning but there's more competition now in muscat so I do hope the hotel ups its game in terms of the family resort.
