The breakfast is delicious: 3 types of cornflakes, sausage and eggs, ham and cheese and butter, biscuits, fruit, coffee and tea and hot-cold milk and cocoa powder, 2 types of bread.... delicious. Only some suggestions: 1. Bathroom in 1 floor: I couldn't close good and someone open it while I was inside. Please check the door. 2. Bathroom -1 floor: if I have to take a shower or is impossible, it is very cold and there is no heating. It is winter... so please add a heating 3. A heating also in the rooms. It is cold. 4. In the room add please a clothes hangers for jackets. Thanks so much for everything. I really enjoyed stay here.

We booked as part of an independent tour of Portugal. It was difficult to locate thanks to street construction and detours. The signage is also very discreet. Our group took two rooms. Both were clean and bright. The rooms themselves were adequate. The glass shower in the corner of our room was a tight squeeze, smaller than a phone booth. The bed comfortable. No problems there. Two things: The Wi-fi is awful. You get a better signal from a nearby bar than the hostel's router. We were told at check-in that the signal was "weak". The street was noisy in the evening/night. Something about Portugal, where bars close at 4 AM. (We had a few places along our journey where the louts were out carrying on loudly, not just here.) In this case, it was students chanting whatever about 1 AM. (Earlier they had been chanting on the square.) Parking was another matter. It is "free" in the sense it is on street and free while the meters don't demand payment. The good news is that the ticket machines will sell time in the early morning when one pays in the previous evening. It's not the cost, but inconvenience. Still, it can be a long walk (uphill) from a parked car to the hostel. Day parking is tight - but one can easily move closer in the evening. We found the breakfast just fine. Understand that the fixings are what they are...and when they're gone, they're gone. Get there late and you get what's left. We ate about 8 AM and had a good selection of eggs, breakfast meats, breads and coffee. As a property NS Hostel is not bad. It's a clean bed and all that. Fix the wi-fi and I'd give it another bullet.
