Went with my partner in December and the hotel is good, but the staff is the highlight of this hotel Very welcoming, with welcome cocktail which is a bonus, 24 hours bar with the best staff, well done The room are large and very cozy, with amazing view to the city

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October, unfortunately my 1st time in porto didn't start well, when I arrived from campanha station from lisbon , my wallet was taken from my backpack while between platform to the station exit, I only realised it wad gone while waiting for my taxi to the hot… more

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in October, unfortunately my 1st time in porto didn't start well, when I arrived from campanha station from lisbon , my wallet was taken from my backpack while between platform to the station exit, I only realised it wad gone while waiting for my taxi to the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I explained my situation to them, they where very helpful and friendly, and called the police for me to report the stolen wallet, they gave me instructions to the local police which deals with tourists, and able to speak English. They explained I could get some money from them from my Google pay card and I accepted, and was given some cash to spend while I was porto , and I am very grateful and thankful for their kindness and helpful and the staff exceed all my expectations. Anyway, check-in was easy and quick, and all facilities were explained to me My room was on the 11th floor, and the room was beautifully decorated and modern, it was big, everything worked in the room, big comfy bed. Breakfast each day was good, buffet style, plenty of choice with tea and coffee on order from the waitress and not from the buffet. I used the bar on the ground floor one evening for evening meal and ordered a franesinha and drink, was great and the bar staff was quick and professional and Friendly. I used a spa one evening for a massage, found it very relaxing and I enjoyed the experience from the staff and massage. I found all the staff I encountered was friendly , helpful and professional especially the reception team who helped me on my 1st night. The location is not in central porto but the metro is nearby and plenty of other transport options and plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets nearby. I would return to this hotel in the future if I return to porto. Thank you for everything

“Mostly overrated”

This is a nice hotel, but it's wearing out fast. The floors are scuffed and the furniture worn. Front desk and door people were quite friendly and helpful. This is a nice hotel, but it's wearing out fast. The floors are scuffed and the furniture worn. Front desk and door people were quite friendly and helpful. The breakfast is far better than anything one would find in the US, but significantly below what we experienced elsewhere in Portugal and Europe. A big spread with many of the items one would expect, but the food quality itself was not very good. For example, a very limited selection of cheeses and meats, the pastries were not very fresh, and the fruit selection quite limited. The breakfast service was adequate, but not really good; my impression was they were just too short staffed. It was all fine - just not on par with other 'luxury' hotels in Portugal. Beware the "free" drink coupon for the rooftop bar - the drink is only port and the charcuterie board and single glass of wine that we ordered was $56! (Some of our lunches for two, with wine, in Porto were less.)
