“Fantastic location on Nevsky Prospect ”
Anabel Hotel is in one of the large courtyards entered through an archway on Nevsky Prospect. Anabel Hotel is in one of the large courtyards entered through an archway on Nevsky Prospect. It’s a great location not far from the Fontanka canal, the Fabergé Museum and the Anna Akhmatova Apartment Museum (in Liteyney Prospect). The Hermitage is a fifteen minute walk or a bus down Nevsky Prospect. The Moscow railway station is nearby. The hotel was our favourite of the five we stayed at in Russia. It is a very quiet place in an old St Petersburg building. Reception staff are always very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable. Excellent wi fi. We were on the fourth floor, reached by stairs or a tiny lift. Our rooms were near the breakfast and sitting area where coffee and tea are available all day. The ladies who cook breakfast for the four or five tables of guests are delightful and are keen to cook omelettes or offer porridge. There was also a variety of cold meats, cheese, fruit and vegetables to choose from. We enjoyed eating at Marcellis restaurant nearby on the corner of Nevsky Prospect and Rubinstein Ulitsa. There is a great bakery just near the archway entrance and various souvenir shops.

We really enjoyed our experience with Hotel Anabel. We really enjoyed our experience with Hotel Anabel. The room was clean and nicely furnished for a reasonable price, breakfast was a combination of buffet-style cold foods as well as hot-cooked options; tea, coffee, and cookies are always available in the lobby. There's an elevator as well. The building is very conveniently located in the city, close to bus stops and Metro stops or within walking distance of some sites as well. Would definitely recommend.

In an internal courtyard (advertisement sign on the main street) in an old building (lift available) of the Nevsky Prospect some 200 meters from the metro station. In an internal courtyard (advertisement sign on the main street) in an old building (lift available) of the Nevsky Prospect some 200 meters from the metro station. Room not very big (superior) but extremely clean (personally I don’t like the moquette not even at home). Safe, mini-fridge, air conditioning (despite the fact we didn’t use it) available. Bathroom with shower, small but very clean too. Wi-Fi available in every room. Good choice for the breakfast (English and Continental). Umbrella available in case of rain. Only receptionists speak English, not the rest of the personnel. Anyway everybody is extremely polite and helpful. Good position to have a stroll on the most popular avenue of the city. Lot of restaurants and shops.
