“Great stay”
Awesome hotel, great historical vibe and right next to some of St. Petersburg's main attractions so many things you'd want to visit is basically walking distance. Staff was friendly and professional and the breakfast excellent too.

“FAVORITE HOTEL in St. Petersburg”
You want to come back to this hotel again and again - Home comfort, delicious breakfasts and helpful staff. The hotel also has an excellent SPA area, namely, a hammam and a sauna. And the most delicious coffee!

“Handled Travel Restrictions with Dignity and Class”
U.S. and Russia virus related travel restrictions made our trip impossible. The Astoria St. Pete responded with integrity and refunded our advance payment. Pure class; will make an effort to stay here when these extraordinary times are over.

“Excellent Hotel, but some annoying niggles”

Astoria is a historic property, a luxurious hotel in a fantastic location close to St Isaacs. The staff are effusively helpful and friendly, manners are impeccable and there is a hushed reverence through the Hotel. Our Suite, food and service was excellent, as expected for this class of hotel, but there were several niggles. Firstly the curtains were far too thin for the white nights, this together the our suite being positioned with a streetlight directly outside our window meant it was light enough to read a book for at least 20 hours each day. When I raised this with staff, they smiled and acknowledged it was the case. Secondly, turn down was sporadic, didn't come at the times requested and one day didnt come at all. And finally don't bother with the swimming pool. Its in a different, connected hotel, the directions were unhelpful and the pool when finally found, is awful. That said, as a luxury hotel experience in a great location, it's hard to beat the Astoria.
