Hotel 81 Chinatown

“Good Hotel, Easy access.”

Nice tidy hotel, smallish rooms but only for sleeping. Close to MRT stations and all that happens in Chinatown. Once I worked rail network it was a breeze to get around. Staff tidied the room each day and left bottled water, happy with my choice, again next year.

“Just ok.”

If it were smaller they’d have to have twin bed. No night stand so I used my suitcase. Good thing as no where to put luggage. Power plugs didn’t allow room for adaptors with usb on bottom as they are too close to desk. Closet really is a silly little cupboard. No ice available in building. Still … more

Still convenient location, history building, utilitarian room. Clean . Staff was helpful except for no ice.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location near DT19 and its affordable price. We spent minimal time in the room since we were in Singapore for just 14 hours and went out for dinner. We chose this hotel for its convenient location near DT19 and its affordable price. We spent minimal time in the room since we were in Singapore for just 14 hours and went out for dinner. Although the room was small [10 sqm], it was clean and equipped with a kettle, and the bathroom facilities were adequate. The staff were friendly and helpful, even arranging a taxi for us at 6 a.m. There's also a convenience store just around the corner. Overall, it's ideal for a short stay. Would I stay here again? Yes, especially for a brief stopover, as it's more reasonably priced than the hotels near the airport.
