“Hotel Near to National Stadium SG”

The room was quite spacious for a triple room. Right in front of the hotel, there’s a 7-Eleven and halal food options. The bus stop is also very close. While many people mention that Geylang is a red-light district, I really enjoy the peaceful atmosphere in the morning and afternoon, and it’s easy to find food at night

“Great staff specially AZMI, Clean and renovated hotel”
Best service from Azmi at front desk, giving me my favorite room always on my biz trips, great guy:) Renovated hotel, small rooms but super clean, unlike older Hotel 81s. Easy access to city and airport, with bus/MRT, lots of food options around

“Small, budget hotel close to National Stadium”
A budget hotel which we only stayed at as it was super close to the National Stadium. Being the weekend of the Taylor Swift concerts, the room rates were seemingly jacked up by 200-300%. A budget hotel which we only stayed at as it was super close to the National Stadium. Being the weekend of the Taylor Swift concerts, the room rates were seemingly jacked up by 200-300%. But that's economics for you. The rooms were clean but very very small, esp. if you are separating the bed into two twins. We did not have room to put our luggage on the floor. Staff were friendly. The location, as mentioned, is a 15 min walk from the National Stadium so a fair choice if you are staying for an event there. Some good restaurant options nearby - definitely a more "local" than "tourist" area.

“It was ok for a night!”
The room is not big as I was expected but not too bad. Bed sheet and pillow have some stain on it, I’m sure they already cleaned it but can’t wash it off so it looks dirty. If you only stay one night or find a place to rest during the flight, that’s fine.

“Very budget experience at inflated prices - thanks to the the Taylor Swift Economic Effect”
To be fair, this 2-star hotel is probably a decent deal any time OTHER than when Taylor Swift is in town. To be fair, this 2-star hotel is probably a decent deal any time OTHER than when Taylor Swift is in town. I think the normal rate is S$69 a night, but we paid over FOUR TIMES that for our 3 night stay during Swifte season. The room was TINY - made even smaller by the fact that we needed twin beds, so there was very little room for our luggage. The bathroom had been recently renovated but was still microscopic - you could probably touch all four walls whilst sitting on the toilet. There was no real separation of the shower area from the rest of the bathroom (other than a thin glass panel close to the shower head, so the water leaked right across the bathroom floor anytime the shower was used). The room walls were also VERY thin - good if you are a vouyer, not so good if you want a good nights sleep. Beds were rock hard. On the plus side... the staff were excellent, very helpful. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the National Stadium, so perfect if you're travelling in to SG for an event. There are also lots of good restaurants, bars and 'adult shops' nearby, if thats your thing.
