“Pros and Cons”

We stayed here for one night in January 2025 on a transit in Singapore. How to judge this place? You’ll either love it or hate it, depending on what’s important to you. Location: 30 seconds’ walk from Rochor MRT station, 35 minutes from Changi Airport. Excellent. Vibe: Slightly seedy vibe around the hotel with clubs, spas, loitering moustachioed fellows, 24 hour eateries and the like. But well-lit and safe. Staff: Night front desk staff friendly and chatty, morning front desk staff grumpy and miserable. Was it something we said? Breakfast: Noodles, rice, cereal, toast. Adequate enough. Have to ask for tea and coffee from the staff. We asked for a second cup and got a disapproving frown. Room: Has seen better days but who cares as long as it’s clean(ish)comfy and quiet. At the end of the day, Perak Hotel isn’t going to win any design or customer service awards but for a convenient transit hotel, it takes some beating.

“Location”
The hotel is strategically located near to ronchor MRT station. Just a few minutes walk. Can find halal restaurant around the hotel too. The 24hrs mustafa store also walking distance. Room though quite small but okay. Room is cleaned. Will come back

“Very simple but worthwhile”
Basic hotel with good location in busy India town with many shops and restaurants. Good breakfast. Easy walking distance to places worth visiting. Historic architecture. Public transport/subway just 50 meters away. Recommended for budget savvy traveller.
