The hotel is ideally located in Myeondong -- but far way that it wasn't loud at night. There are MANY GOOD restaurants around the hotel and the subway station is just 1-2 minutes walk. Walking and doing window shopping at night is great as the place comes alive thanks to the daily night market. They also offer daily breakfast which we found to be sufficient... but don't expect anything fancy and you'll be fine. Lastly, the staff was very attentive and helpful! Kudos to the staff! ... apologies I forget their names

We stayed here for 3 nights in November. We booked a double room and were pleasantly surprised with the size of it. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. They even provided stickers to cover the lights on the aircon/heating system in case it bothers folk. The WiFi was really fast! We had breakfast here once. It was pretty good. The location is excellent, being around a minute from the nearest metro station. It is surrounded by bars, cafes, and restaurants. It is attached to a Seven Eleven and a Starbucks. Honestly, you can't go far wrong here, in my opinion. We'd definitely stay here again.

“Nice stay for first visit to Seoul”
Overall the Metro Hotel has a lot going for it. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful when we had questions. The rooms were clean and the long desk provided a lot of counter space. Overall the Metro Hotel has a lot going for it. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helpful when we had questions. The rooms were clean and the long desk provided a lot of counter space. Unfortunately for me the bed was a lot firmer than I prefer. The massage chairs on the 2nd floor lounge are a big plus but occupied a lot. The washing machine was very useful and I wish they had more than one for the guests. On a side note, the workers in some of the nearby shops in Myeongdong sometimes aren’t all that friendly to tourists (even when we tried speaking Korean) although I did see instances where tourists weren’t that respectful. When we ventured to other neighborhoods in Seoul we found a little bit more welcoming behavior. I just hope that tourists learn to be more aware of local customs or cultural nuances like being more quiet on public transportation and such.
