This hotel is tucked away down a narrow street beside the cathedral it has a private car park (at an extra charge) the room was utilitarian though the french windows had a charm, the bathroom was well used but serivcable, the breakfast (taken in the restaurant) was amazing for the price the restaurant itself is gorgeous being the courtyard of an old wayside inn, The staff were very attentive they took our cases to the rooms , a service that many 4 star hotels don't offer, the hotel boasts an enclosed area opposite the hotel entrance where meals can be taken or drinks had. Beware the cost of a G & T check the prices before ordering. all in all a very restful 3 days stay

Fabulous location inside the city walls. Friendly staff who spoke English and our bags were carried up to our room. Secure parking. The U tube video to find the car park was a great idea and worked really well. Spacious room. Breakfast was adequate, but a bit of a disappointment after the excellent dinner we had enjoyed the previous evening. WiFi was a bit clunky.

A nice old building tucked away on a narrow street next to the cathedral. It also has a delightful outdoor restaurant next to the walls - pricey though. Our room was on the first floor with the small balcony overlooking the walls. You get a lot of conversation from the street with the windows open, but it’s not an issue when they are closed at night - good air conditioning if it gets too hot. The hotel has a traditional feel and is very clean. No lift, but a member of staff carried our cases upstairs. Decent breakfast, but it is extra - 6€. A bonus is the parking - easy to get to, but I recommend watching the YouTube video on their website first. Downside is the cost at 12€ a day.

“Great location”
Good location and staff. Very helpful. It's a little bit complicated to arrive to their parking, because Google Maps was a little but messy. But they help you with some advices and a video in advance. The restaurant looks good, with good selection of local dishes.

“Friendly but funky”

This small, family-run hotel is quiet and clean, but not as quaint/special as it appears in the photos. It is more on the funky side of the spectrum than anything. No real views as it’s along a narrow street next to the cathedral & the windows are high up under the roof line. The restaurant dinner menu may have been authentic, but we didn’t find it particularly appetizing as Californians — same with minimal breakfast options. No way to get coffee or tea in room, no mini-frig, etc. If I were to visit Avila again, I might try something just outside the walls with a more substantial breakfast option and the kind of amenities that make a multi-day stay enjoyable. That said, the staff were kind.
