The experience overall was great. Most the staff was wonderful. Location was perfect. Roof top bar cute. Doorman rock. Desk service less helpful. Use the doorman. We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was superb but pricey. You are welcome. Location perfect

“Hotel Barcelona Catedral tough to rate, pricey.”

We struggled to find a place to stay in Barcelona, after visiting in 2022, as we found prices close to double. That being said we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Barcelona Catedral. We struggled to find a place to stay in Barcelona, after visiting in 2022, as we found prices close to double. That being said we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Barcelona Catedral. Location is great for walking but tricky by vehicle due to the Catedral square and one way roads. We did walk everywhere we wanted including bus, metro stations, La Rambla, and Montjuic. We enjoyed the roof top patio and pool but wished it was heated. The gym is very basic with free weights up to only 10kg. We had the breakfast package and found it was very good with a wide selection of choices. Overall the staff was very good, we would like to especially thank Walid for his hospitality at Capellans restaurant in the building. We ate there several times for dinner and it was very good. Overall a very good stay and we are hoping prices will drop with the reduction of cruise ships over the next few years.

“Superb hotel ”

We have had 3 really good days in Barcelona and the staff at Hotel Catedral Barcelona have made our stay very easy. From check in and check out, holding luggage and even having umbrellas you can borrow. Excellent knowledge of bus and metro travel, and maps they give to you. The location in the Go… more

We have had 3 really good days in Barcelona and the staff at Hotel Catedral Barcelona have made our stay very easy. From check in and check out, holding luggage and even having umbrellas you can borrow. Excellent knowledge of bus and metro travel, and maps they give to you. The location in the Gothic quarter is perfect. The bedrooms are very clean, comfortable and stocked with all you will need. Between 5 and 5.15pm each day there is free cheese and wine tasting too. Breakfast was really good and the bar if you want a drink is welcoming and well stocked. If we come to Barcelona again we will probably stay here again.

The hotel was clean and staff were welcoming. Check in was easy as was check out. We were assigned and room with disability access which provided a lot of staff ace in the bathroom and bedroom. The room was clean and well appointed, linen was of a good standard. Each afternoon was a simple wine and cheese tasting for 15 minutes. Nice touch. The location was fabulous and you pay for it. The hotel is a strong 3 and a half star with a five star location and price tag. At your front door left and right are the main attractions, Las Ramblers, old town and the cathedral. We did not eat at the hotel as there were so many options outside and we made the most of them.
