“Just what we wanted - walking distance to the City, Clean Free Parking, Good Value and Excellent Wifi.”

We needed a hotel within a reasonable hike of the City, free parking, free Wifi and reasonably cheap - and this place ticked all the boxes. The Hotel is reasonably basic - but thats not to say uncomfortable or anything. We stayed 2 nights and (Unlike many hotels) they made the beds and changed towels etc for the second stay. The room was clean and possibly a tad spartan , tiny tv and so on but prefectly acceptable for crashing out in after exploring Salamanca. The Wifi was outstanding - seriously - fast reliable and one simple code that didnt expire or just count for one device or anything difficult - one code for everything - brilliant ! It's a 20 min treck to the City by foot which we found to be ok - the route is down a main road and perfectly safe even after dark. Downsiides ? Bit noisy at night (Tiled floors etc) and a bit of noise from downstiairs - although we were above the etrance so possibly the worst case scenario. Although not everyone in Reception spoke English those who did not were extreemly helpfull - and those who did were very friendly. The restauraunt/ cafe downstairs is super for coffee / cakes and snacks. So it did us brilliantly. The Ramada it isn't but value for money, clean, safe, friendly with great wifi it is ! Liked it a lot - did just what we wanted.

“good and not so good!”

Not so great - a good 25/30 minute walk to the city centre (the main reason for being there!). This was not so bad on the way in (downhill) but not so good on the way back, especially after walking round the town. The accommodation was clean and comfortable enough, but fairly basic. Perfectly fine for one night only.
