On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

Travelling from the Algarve to UK, I tried to find an hotel half way to stay overnight. So my choices were somewhere between Valladolid and Salamanca. I choose without looking Hotel Castellano I in Salamanca because just need a place decent so sleep and have a shower. Later I received the answer: no rooms available but they could do an upgrade for a 3 star for the same price. We checked the quality and reviews and accepted the option. Never stayed in less than 4 stars but because was just a night it was fine. The receptionists are fantastic they charged my phone in the reception and they woke me up on time when I asked to do so. Unfortunately their car park was full and my car was has all the luggage I was not bother in taking the luggage to the bedroom. Find a parking place was almost impossible. So the receptionist helped finding a car park. The bedroom was generous also the bathroom and all very clean. Outside there's plenty options to drink and eat until midnight. The city looks very safe, clean and the prices and fine. I have to return to this place but booking in advance to get a space in the parking. Salamanca looks a great place to know better. I paid 68€ for a triple bedroom for me wife and 9 year old son.

Two night stay in Salamanca. Hotel is easy to find and located outside of old city centre. Walking distance to sights, and train station, cafes abundant around. Hotel is dated but was ok for us. Room large and twin beds were comfortable. The room was hot even with window open and air fan on. Hot water ok, it did cut in and out and often would be warm to cold when showering. No fridge, but overall for us we don’t care as we are out through the day so just a bed so long as it’s clean which it was. Our only negative would be the wifi. Doesn’t work in the rooms so you have to sit on chair near lift or go to reception lounge. This is inconvenient as we like to do our forward planning together for our next day in our room without everyone listening in.

Spent a 3 nights here 23/24/25 Sep on a Groupon Promotion. A pleasant enough hotel and on edge of historic area of Salamanca - 10 mins walk from main sites. Used the underground car park which was worth the 10 euro a day due to volume of cars and parking problems in the city. Hotel reception was helpful on arrival and later on first night when we asked to move rooms due to a noisy coach party along the corridor. They moved us immediately to another room away from the group - job done ! We did not eat in the restuarant due to the many options nearby. Breakfast was disappointing, only 3 bread rolls and jam on a plate with tea/coffee and fruit juice. The hotel has its own tapas bar attached which looked popular. We used the little bar around the corner called Nene's - excellent snacks, cold beer and so cheap ! We would stay again.

I stayed two nights in this hotel. It is a typical 3* tourist hotel. If you are part of a group you will receive sub-standard breakfasts (which I witnessed), if you are individuals your breakfast will be a buffet. The bedrooms are of a good size and clean. I don't see the point of a mini-bar as it was locked and there was no key - maybe it was empty. Wifi is free but only accessible from the lounge or reception. Fairly quiet, a 10 - 15 mins downhill walk to the city centre. Air-conditioning was only switched on between the hours of 2000 - 2200. Apart from that I don's see how you can complain about this hotel. You get what you pay for and this was good value for the money paid.
