I walked the Camino and of course there was not too many options as I finally arrived to Santiago. Most hotels were fully booked. I selected this place randomly as I didn’t have much choice and was exhausted. The alburgue is conveniently located in the Historic center and near the Cathedral (about 4-5 minutes walk). Rooms are simple and the decor is friendly with a modern look. Restrooms are clean with basic amenities. Towels are available if needed. Wifi works well and staff is nice. After the first day, I had a problem in my room and the staff was friendly and proactive.

“Great location, average albergue”

Arrived in Santiago and did not book ahead--possibly a mistake because it was so busy and so many places were booked up but I was adamant to never book ahead throughout the Camino. Found this spot on a side street just off of the main route into the Cathedral and it's just about a 5-minute walk to the action of plazas where you would see all of your Camino friends and maybe a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral. The albergue was no different than other albergues along the way...we stayed in an 8-bunk room. It was standardly clean and comfortable. We honestly didn't stay in the albergue long so nothing mattered much but only problems we encountered were: a. some pooling of water in the shower in the downstairs bathroom (private bathrooms here were a plus after a lot of public bathroom shares along the way!) b. lots of creaking as you maneuvered up and down stairs (always felt like I was waking people up) c. some trouble with the entry code after midnight as I believe it's re-set then. Ask about this in advance so you don't get locked out! Lots of communal space here, but I frankly didn't see anyone use it because I think everyone was eager to get out and see their friends in the plazas. Staff sit in the nextdoor Alda hotel and were extremely nice and accommodating. If you want a slightly more luxurious stay, I also had friends stay at the hotel there and they said it was a pleasant stay!

I arrived here after a long trip and I was happy to be welcomed by a very kind and helpful woman. The place was clean and the code to open the main door avoid the possibility to lose the key. There are 2 toilets clean and with good water pressure. There is the possibility to do laundry for €7 and the breakfast is available with only €5. It's in a great position which allows you to reach the city centre and the Cathedral in very short time.

“Not bad, but not great”
The hotel is well located, at the center of Santiago and the staff is great. Very nice and kind. The building is old, and a lot of stairs. At the end of the Camino, and with some injuries was not the right place for me. Please not that I said to me :-). There are little bathrooms available
