“Experiencing Granada”
This was my first stay ina Barcelo hotel & I wasn't disappointed. A spotlessly clean hotel throughout. Friendly & professional staff. Good location, I walked everywhere. Nice atmosphere, great rooftop for views. As a solo female traveller it was perfect for me.

We were traveling for pleasure with family. We got interconnecting rooms, which are different from how I think of connecting rooms. Our rooms shared a short hallway, and both the hallway door and the individual rooms used the same lock. We were given two keycards, both of which were needed to keep the electricity on in the rooms. As our kids are young, this was not ideal, as it was too easy for someone to get locked out of a room. This would be a better set up for families with older kids or couples traveling together. The hotel was clean and modern. There's a very decent gastropub in the lobby. Our room came with daily breakfast, and we thought the breakfast was very good. Eggs and pancakes to order, pretty extensive buffet including serrano ham and pate, fresh honeycomb, decent fresh fruit options, churros, and fresh squeezed orange juice. The kids enjoyed all three morning breakfasts. The hotel location is within a 10-20 minute walk of pretty much anything you'd want to see in Granada (although the walk to the Alhambra would be steep), but there's also a taxi queue two blocks away if you're feeling lazy.

Perfect location, quiet large room, updated, spotless Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Towels ruff but plenty of them and amenities. WIFI TERRIBLE ! We upgraded to the balcony with hot tub . Worth every penny. Spotless. Cannot say anything bad about the staff. We asked , we received quickly. However when we asked the front desk can get a cork screw and wine glasses and ice they told us to go to the restaurant in the main lobby. We did and they would not give us a cork screw. Every time we wanted a bottle of wine opened we had to get it from our room , walk across the lobby in our hot tub robes, get the bottle opened and back up. We felt very uncomfortable having to do this. Cork screws are not that much cost to put in a room. I would also say that the free water on arrival and departure is a thoughtful touch. Our first impression of the restaurant is why we did not eat there. We were given a voucher for a free drink and tapa. The server was snarky . We got the house wine. It was delicious. The tapa was a cold slice of deli turkey on a hard piece of broken tortilla. Worst tapa Ive had in Spain since we arrived 3 weeks ago. If the free tapa is your introduction to your restaurant I would think twice. A big thank you to our young Valet on the first day. He was very helpful . As for the older Valet when we left not such a good review. He did not offer to assist with the bags going in the car. Finally I would like to thank Noelia Cervera for inviting me to a free breakfast on my last day. That certainly helped me giving this hotel a 5 star rating.

This hotel seems to have been renovated recently which shows in the rooms and the hallways. While the rooms are bit small and there are no views from the rooms, its a nice hotel to stay at while you explore Granada. We used the gym (although small and just has the basic equipment) and the roof top bar/views are amazing if the weather is good. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of variety and choice (especially liked the honey comb they put out to get natural honey!). The lobby bar/restaurant is also great...service, variety and affordability.
