This was a perfect, scenic location in Grenada. Within walking distance to the lively restaurants and shopping. Short taxi ride to Ahlambra. Ask for room 301! This was a perfect, scenic location in Grenada. Within walking distance to the lively restaurants and shopping. Short taxi ride to Ahlambra. Ask for room 301! So spacious, vaulted ceilings, King size bed, and a room full of French patio doors. We looked at other visitors rooms, and we definitely hit the jackpot in comparison. There are some steps you have to take up to the room, since it is by itself on the 3rd floor.

I agree that this hotel is average and rather desolate and perhaps better described as a restaurant offering rooms upstairs. I agree that this hotel is average and rather desolate and perhaps better described as a restaurant offering rooms upstairs. HOWEVER, that is without taking into account the history of the building and its connection to the nearby Alhambra AND the fact that Andalusian traditional houses all come with an inner court to have meals… No kettle? You can ask for help: I was given a pot of boiling water twice by the staff on premises (during restaurant opening times).

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour. Pros: -It's a beautiful old building full of character -In a fantastic location - really central Cons: -My room had no natural light as there was nothing except a wall right behind my window. It was really dark and the lights in the room were weak and didn't make it much brighter. -We weren't able to have breakfast at the hotel. We were sent over to another hotel for breakfast and it just didn't work. There were too many people and not enough tables or plates/bowls. There was only 1 staff member there and she was rushing to top things up and wash plates, bowls and spoons as they had run out. I felt really sorry for her. I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again, but it was a beautiful building.
