I have been staying at this hotel once a week for the last 5 weeks (and will continue doing so for another 10 weeks) Being a frekvent traveller with experience from all over the world I must say that this is one of the best ones I‘ve been to. The building itself is full of history and interesting stories/objects to explore. The staff and owners are friendly, welcoming and professional. As I come oncce a week due to an educational program that I am following in Malmö during this spring, I have had the possibility to discover different rooms. They have all been charming and highly personalized. You feel the love from the owners. The breakfast is generous and good. No need to leave hungry. Finally I know that there is a bar linked to the hotel. However, I have not tried it out as I travel alone. I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to my upcoming stays during this spring.

I recently stayed at the Mayfair Hotel in Malmo, and I’ve got to say—it’s a hidden gem. The place has a unique vibe where modern comforts meet a rich history. Everywhere you look, there are fascinating historical items and antique furniture, each with its own little story. I loved reading about the lore behind these pieces—it really made the hotel feel alive and full of character. The staff were amazing; friendly, kind, and always ready with a smile or a helpful suggestion. It’s rare to find such genuine care in service nowadays. And the breakfast? Simply fantastic. The buffet had everything I could wish for, plus coffee and tea available all day to keep you going. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better. Being so close to the Malmo Central Station was incredibly convenient—not only for exploring the city but also because it made the trip to Copenhagen Airport a breeze. I can’t wait to go back and experience it all over again!

I’ve stayed in Malmo a few times but this was my first time at the Mayfair and can honestly say, I won’t be staying anywhere else from now on. I contacted the hotel initially and on booking directly with them was given the best price. On arrival was warmly welcomed and had been given an upgrade to a bigger bed which was much appreciated. The room (409) held no view but gosh it made up for it in peace. Considering it’s such a central location and on a weekend it was so peaceful. The hotel itself - where to start! - is steeped in history and the owners are rightly proud of it. You can learn about it from the pictures on the walls to the newspaper at breakfast. I would definitely recommend taking a little time to read as it’s fascinating. From the old public library, to original newspaper offices down to the Wes Anderson style oldest lift. If you love history and art - it’s a match made in heaven. Breakfast is held in the vaults and is as atmospheric as it is delicious. I’m not a meat eater but there was plenty on offer - boiled eggs, fresh waffles, smoked salmon, fresh bread, fruits. Place was really clean and uncrowded so you can take your time and slow the pace. The location is so central - 5mins from Central train station. Walkable to all main squares, parks, buildings. Independent hotels are something to be championed and The Mayfair deserves all the kudos it receives. Thanks for an excellent stay and I hope to be back 😊 Lisa
