Can't remember how many times we have stayed here over 30 years. We stayed here before there was a BTS. When the BTS opened, the trains were empty. The Bangkokians were all complaining about how expensive the BTS was. We'll times have changed. All high rise development is centered around these BTS stations. We have watched these high rises springing up around this great hotel. Ya, there is noise but all large cities on earth are experiencing this. If you want a true 5 star experience then spend $500 a night at another hotel and shut up! Grand Centre Pointe Phloenthit is in the best location, next to a BTS station, next to 98 Wireless Rd. ($8,000 USD +++ a month rent) and 2 lots away from US Ambassador's residence. The hotel is very slightly aged but amazingly clean with a friendly and accommodating staff. Look what you are paying!!! Welcome to a 6 star hotel.

This was my 3rd stay at GCP Ploenchit in the past 18 months. My wife and I were very pleased. I've been living in Thailand for the past 5 years and we've been together for the past 15. I/we have stayed at many hotels, resorts, and boutique properties throughout Thailand so I tend to be somewhat critical (see reviewer name) however, this Ploenchit hotel offers great value with one of the best locations in BKK. Gracious staff always looking to please, great housekeeping with no request ignored, and room comfort with great extras. Suites are set up like service apartments which is convenient for longer stays. Breakfast is adequate with enough good choices to satisfy most tastes. Central Embassy/Central ChidLom and BTS access couldn't be closer. Shopping, restaurants, local scenes, all nearby. We didn't avail ourselves of the fitness or pool facilities however, we looked around and know the standard of the Grand Centre Points brand which is more than sufficient.

A review of who’m deserves a 5* rating is necessary surely after staying in this hotel . No , I am not writing that I had any problem during my stay I enjoyed my stay , just if this is 5* hotel because in room dining is available 24/7 maybe also a review of what remains available during the night should be looked at . On a very positive note drinks and snacks in room are free of charge , the terras is something I appreciated . What I did not like is the kitchen look of the room , the white colour reminded of a 1980’s kitchen . Another issue I faced in this hotel was went wanting to make a payment I could not use Apple Pay a fysica credit card was necessary , ok if this hotel wants to still accept payment as in the Middle Ages they need to rethink theirs use of modern technology . Swimming pool is small but that’s still ok . Breakfast is average and dining hall or cafetaria is really not inviting or attractive looks more like a school cafetaria . If it was not for the special deal I got I would not have stayed in this hotel . It will remain an hotel I might visit again It depends what rate they will want to charge me .
