“Perfect hotel to stat at when in Bangkok, would recommend”
The was big and beautiful and the location was perfect. The breakfast was a 10/10, not much food but the quality was very good. The pool wasn’t the nicest but that has nothing to say when you are in Bangkok. The staff was ok. The aircondition was good.

“Worth the money, excellent staff”
Great location, priced right, comfortable bed with good bathroom. I had a corner suite. Kudos to Boom and Jam, whose pleasant personalities and helpfulness were appreciated. Good value for the price. “Reliable Hotel ”

I've stayed at Hotel Mermaid several times over the past five years. I'm impressed by how well maintained the rooms are. I stayed four nights in a "studio room" (cheapest room), room 507. Bed was very comfy, not too hard or too soft. TV was a bit small for the room but had many English channels. There were two IKEA type chairs for lounging, and a desk for working. Bathroom was very clean and had plenty of hot water. AC was cool and quiet. Standard kettle and small fridge. Safe box was big enough to fit my 17" laptop, not that I felt the need to lock away my valuables. Staff were professional and efficient. Swimming pool was open but looked like it was under repair, not too relaxing with construction of a high rise building next door. Location was good, an easy walk to the main road, but a bit of a longer walk to either Asoke or Phrom Phong BTS stations. I'll stay here again, for sure, if I need to be in this part of Sukhumvit.

The room is large and equipped with everything you would need. However, the walls are thin and there's a lot of noise coming from adjacent rooms (even when the guests are talking, not screaming), which is not really acceptable for a 4-star hotel. There's also a pool but it's unattended and there is no way you could get drinks or anything else when sitting there. It's just a pool that looks thrown at the backside of the hotel, to say that they do have a pool.
