ANNOUNCEMENT From 1 March to 1 October 2019, Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is embarking on an exciting renovation of the River Wing to further enhance the accommodation and facilities of our iconic hotel, while maintaining its classic, Thai-influenced elegance and unique resort style. This renovation will encompass the closure of the swimming pools along with rooms, suites and restaurants in the River Wing. The historic Authors’ and Garden Wings, Oriental Spa and many of our restaurants and bars will continue to operate as normal. LOCATION This city hotel is situated in the centre of Bangkok; Silom Road is 5 minutes' walk away, Sukumvit Road is 20 minutes away by Sky Train, and Siam Square is 10 minutes away by Skytrain. A number of shopping centres lie within easy reach of the hotel, including 3 that can provide anything guests may need: Siam Paragon, Central Chidlom and Emporium; they are 10, 15 and 20 minutes away by Skytrain respectively. Don Muang-Bangkok Airport is approximately 30 km from the hotel and Suvarnabhumi International Airport is around 40 km away. ROOMS All accommodation units feature air conditioning, a kitchen and a bathroom. Most rooms additionally feature a balcony or a terrace. I just might be the best hotel I ever stayed in. The facility, food, service, location is just perfect. From the river front buffet dinner, to the jazz bar, you never want to leave. And I did not even have time to try out the Michelin restaurant and all the facilities on the other side of the river… more
