After more than a week in the hustle and bustle of Hua Hin we felt like a bit of a change for a bit of peace and tranquillity. So some 14 years ago when I first came to Thailand we stayed at what was then the Holiday Inn beach Resort Cha Am so I knew how idyllic the place was but it was now called Regent beach resort. Anyway my girlfriend fancied a change so I managed to book a delux room with a sea view and we were not disappointed, Anne went onto the balcony and was truly blown away by the view of the pool and the sea views. The place is a little bit tired but that can be ignored by its location beauty and friendliness of all the staff. You do have the choice of dining and drinking at the hotel which is not cheap but very high standard of food or popping down to the little village a short walk away we’re you will find a variety of bars restaurants and shops all very cheap and cheerful. To start the day you must have breakfast included, there is a omelette station everything made fresh, fried eggs and boiled eggs, then inside there is a enormous amount of choice to get the morning off to a great start, it really is a little gem if you want a chilled back and relaxing holiday and to spend time topping up your tan. Wi-Fi is free TV is OK overall a great experience and despite my girlfriend saying we have been to Thailand enough times now she has warmed to the fact that she is really looking forward to coming again, winner winner chicken dinner !!!!

“Great hotel”

I had the best experience, good size room, amazing room and friendly staff with great service. I would definitely recommend and come again in the future. I will come back with family and friends..,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,………………………………………..

“Horrible bed. Mixed Feelings - Definitely Not 4 Stars”

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. On one hand, the staff are absolutely incredible—accommodating, super nice, and genuinely trying their best to help. On the other hand, the hotel itself is very run-down and far from what you’d expect from a 4-star property. The furniture in the room is old, damaged, and stained. The bed was the worst I’ve ever experienced in Southeast Asia—rock-hard and impossible to sleep on. I asked for a mattress topper, and while the staff kindly added two, they were completely flat and didn’t help at all. The pool area is also disappointing. There aren’t enough sunbeds, even though the hotel is almost empty, and the ones that are available are old and broken. While the staff made every effort to assist, they clearly don’t have the resources to provide the level of comfort and quality guests expect. Unfortunately, this left me wishing I could cancel my reservation and go somewhere else where I could enjoy my holiday without all these frustrations. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless significant improvements are made—it’s a shame the amazing staff are let down by the poor condition of the hotel.
