been to york many times and this is a little gem a good hotel the staff are very pleasant and helpful the hotel is a little out on the outskirts but we found the park and ride very good and saved all the stress of trying to find a parking space in the city which was very busy plenty of space to park at the hotel the breakfast was spot on and the hotel it self is very clean and on the plus side theirs a toby carvery right next door the only down side was the bed was little soft but overall a great stay

We stayed here for one night only in December when travelling north to see family. The hotel is very close to the A64 and also Monk’s Cross Park & Ride (£3.80 return) Everything was fine for a short stay, there was a good shower with lots of hot water and the room was pleasantly warm. We stayed on a Bed & Breakfast basis, which was good value, but the breakfast room was quite small and cramped so it’s best to arrive early. The reception and breakfast staff were pleasant and polite - we would be happy to stay again.

“Handy for York ring road”
Hotel is close to York ring road , with parking a short distance from the entrance to hotel, by the Toby inn which has plenty of parking. Room standard for HIE, was quiet and comfortable, at the rear on the upper floor. We had no problems with the lack of a lift. The breakfast buffet was kept toppe… more
Hotel is close to York ring road , with parking a short distance from the entrance to hotel, by the Toby inn which has plenty of parking. Room standard for HIE, was quiet and comfortable, at the rear on the upper floor. We had no problems with the lack of a lift. The breakfast buffet was kept topped up to the end, unlike another HIE we stayed in the day before and the tables were cleared as guests left. Good value stay for York with friendly staff.

“It did the job”
The bed was tiny but comfortable enough, for two grown adults that resulted in a horrendous nights sleep. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. It was okay for one night. The breakfast was what you would expect and it did the job. Overall an okay stay
