If you’re planning an event in Wales, especially a wedding then Abbie is the first person you want to call. From our very first enquiry she went above and beyond to ensure that we had the ceremonies and wedding reception we had always dreamed about! She regularly touched base in the months running up to our wedding and helped us plan anything we needed to. From playlists, to florists and timings for our first dance, nothing was too much trouble. We were provided with useful resources from a “cheat sheet” which was a step by step guide to panning to “what you can expect emails” to put our mind at rest! The “cheat sheet” alone probably prevented a dozen different mishaps on its own! The meal we chose was simple but catered for our vegetarian preference perfectly. We opted for a trio of melon with raspberry to start, a maple syrup roasted pumpkin gnocchi with Mediterranean vegetables and yogurt for main course and Llangoed Hall’s very own apple tart with vanilla ice cream, which was possibly my favourite course! The fact that there were no two bedrooms the same was so special - and we were lucky enough to be able to allocate each bedroom to a specific guest. My niece in particular was thrilled to have a link bedroom with a 4-posted “princess bed.” We only had about 20 guests during the day with 10-15 more in the evening, so opted for a pianist rather than your traditional disco in the evening, however, we were conscious that the venue would feel extremely empty and unused, but Abbie with the assistance of her team were able to convert the lounge area into a cosy seating area with room to dance in the adjoining room, meaning the venue felt full of life and everyone could enjoy the evening from what felt like the comfort of our own home! If the picturesque views and stunning venue itself weren’t enough, the welcome and support we received from Abbie and her team really is outstanding. Our bespoke 2 day package was more than we could have ever wanted. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, the staff were so helpful and made us feel like we were the most important couple in the world. We can’t recommend Llangoed Hall or Abbie enough. It’s a truly fabulous place to get married! We would be grateful if our thanks can be passed on to all involved.

And we are very glad we did. The hotel does not feel like a hotel, more a family home. Communal lounges, games room and so much history to enjoy. Our room was well appointed with big bay window mauve floral seating, matching curtains and a king-sized bed for unbeatable relaxation. Staff were attentive and in no particular order and trying to remember names we would like to thank them all personally. Our “darling” Jeremy for his quick wit. We have not laughed during dinner so much. Nor have we ever been in a a restaurant where every guest is laughing and having fun with the manager! Kay for showing us around all the bedrooms and helping us pick where we wanted to stay next time. Kayley for her help with taking our bags upstairs and the multiple journeys back and forth when we asked for drinks in the room. Abby for her bubbly personality, warm hospitality and for genuinely just going over and above. (Special mention to her fabulous collection of unique high heeled shoes). And finally the kitchen team for a delicious pheasant dish in the evening. Thank you and see you again.

It’s not very often I take the time write to a venue to express my thanks for a wonderful stay, nor express our appreciation over public channels. But on this occasion I have done both. We arrived after a difficult drive, through snow, icy conditions, flooded roads, and diversions. Welcomed warmly by Kaylie on reception, and shown to our home for the weekend - Room 6. A beautiful bedroom, with four poster bed and views of the gardens and Welsh mountains as far as the eyes could see. We enjoyed sitting with cups of locally sourced tea and a couple of scones we had requested, listening to the wildlife outside our window. We came downstairs to sit by the fire as the afternoon went on, with yet more tea (but biscuits not scones this time). We felt completely at home, talking to the staff, and making new friends with some of the other weekend residents in room 8. I must extend our deepest thanks you to Jeremy and Abbie, whose warm hospitality made our stay so memorable. Hearing how their working relationship began was so touching and we hope that it will inspire the next generation of young talent who walks through the doors at Llangoed Hall. We are returning with some friends in May. Geoff & Anne

“Wonderful Afternoon”
What a fabulous place to visit for an afternoon coffee. Big lounge with a grand fireplace. 2 scones per person one fruit and one plain and a lovely afternoon just chatting amongst ourselves, reminiscing old times. With thanks from Mrs Oakley and Mrs Harrington
