“Nice stay but a few things to work on”

We booked two dog friendly deluxe single rooms. The rooms were very comfortable. The bar area and the hotel itself is super dog friendly as we were there for crufts weekend. There was only a few issues and they were the cleaners on our floor had left a plate with food on it (next to elevator) from the Friday afternoon until the Saturday night, obviously someone who has had room service but why weren’t the house keeping picking it up when they were still clearly cleaning on the Friday on that floor when we arrived at 3pm!! The food and drinks were extremely expensive but it’s expected when a show is on, some of the bar staff really needed some customer service training because there was one lady who refused to give me my change and moved on to the next customers when I had clearly said to her three times I was still waiting on my change. Giving it was crufts weekend there should have been more staff on because the staff in the dog friendly section for food really really struggled and it lacked the service. The ladies toilets next to the bar/swimming pool area were absolutely filthy for the three days we stayed and they really should have been kept on top of giving how busy the hotel was. Other than those issues everything was great. The breakfast selection was brilliant and was also great we could bring our dog in too. Extremely close and maybe a 5 minute walk to the NEC if that. Parking very easy once found a space.

“A wonderful base for a NEC visit”

We stayed two nights over Crufts. Hotel were very responsive when we reached out beforehand to update booking details, and loved to see how embracing of four legged guests the hotel were. We stayed two nights over Crufts. Hotel were very responsive when we reached out beforehand to update booking details, and loved to see how embracing of four legged guests the hotel were. Deluxe King room was showing its age slightly, but very clean, and with good amenities. Breakfast was excellent - even including an option of two different kinds of veggie sausages. Bar food was nice, although service was slower in evenings - the hotel was fully booked for Crufts, so appreciate staff were trying their best under pressure. Will definitely stay again when attending NEC.
