We drove in to Austin for my brother’s college graduation from UT and originally decided to get one of those house rental properties from a popular app but it was a disaster. The rental had a big bug issue and we couldn’t stay there at all. We quickly looked for another place to stay fast and at the last minute . I called around and we were lucky to find a room at this hotel. This was a busy weekend with college graduations and Mother’s Day. The hotel location was great , the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable. The Tvs did not have built in streaming apps but that was not an issue since we did not spend alot of time on at the hotel due to all the events we had to attend. I will say the staff was excellent, and I wanted to thank Nora and Marla for taking care of everything we needed and they made our stay enjoyable.

Although it’s very brown and so a little tired looking it is spotlessly clean and everyone we saw and spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Although it’s very brown and so a little tired looking it is spotlessly clean and everyone we saw and spoke to were really friendly and helpful. Our room was excellent, the bed and pillows were the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a while. Although a little tired you can tell people care about where they work. Nice and quiet, would highly recommend.

“Tired hotel in need of rennovation”

We stay at a lot of Staybridge Suites and this one is definitely the one most in need of a refresh. We've stayed at a Sonata that used to be a Staybridge that was in better shape. The room is really dark and there are not enough light fixtures to get beyond "dim". Outlets are limited and there are no USB charging ports on anything. The refrigerator is smaller than any other Staybridge we've stayed at and had no ice maker, even though we were told that many rooms had one. If we needed ice, we could go to the breakfast area to get it. The room looks tired as does the carpet. The bed is fairly comfortable and while old, everything is pretty clean in the room. There are signs saying it is being rennovated. The funniest one is in the front elevator as it is ripped up - like "no kidding" about the rennovation. Front staff was friendly. The social hour food was not the healthiest and they only have Lone Star and Budwiser cans for the social hours - nothing on draft, even though they have the taps. I did not try the breakfast but could smell it and it probably was good. The location makes this a future stay, but not until the rennovation is further along. There is a second elevator in the back but there are practially no lights in that parking area, so not sure I'd want to park back there unless I was driving a clunker.
