“A bargain. Headquarters misleads about bonus points promo.”
The hotel is run down. For example, the paint is peeling from the bathroom wall due to water spraying from the shower. This is because the shower rod is not screwed in properly and bends down, so the curtain can't close all the way. Yet the Super 8 doesn't fix the rod. But I give the Super 8 five s… more
The hotel is run down. For example, the paint is peeling from the bathroom wall due to water spraying from the shower. This is because the shower rod is not screwed in properly and bends down, so the curtain can't close all the way. Yet the Super 8 doesn't fix the rod. But I give the Super 8 five stars because it was such a great deal. I paid $312 with tax for four nights on Labor Day weekend, with one of those days coinciding with a University of Texas Austin home football game. Wyndham headquarters gets ONE star for a lying confirmation e-mail I received on June 17 saying, "You've Successfully Registered" for a promotion to earn 12,500 bonus points by staying 3 consecutive nights. "Book direct by Aug. 31." However, I did not receive the bonus points, so I called and was told the promotion was only for reservations booked after a date in May, and I had booked in April. I say that April should qualify because it is before Aug. 31! The confirmation e-mail needed more details. If I had known, I would have probably deleted my reservation and just made a new one.

“Acceptable for a couple of nights”
Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast had more variety than I expected. The whole place is tired and in need of an update. The location was quiet and very convenient for 6th street, downtown and the Capitol, we walked to all of these. Wouldn’t use the pool.
