“Staff and food”

From Nutchana, to Shayanne, to chef Chris, to the cleaning staff I gabbed with on the elevator (I didn’t catch their names, a white guy and a black guy), to most of the front desk staff they are all keepers! Plus, Chris’ food was excellent. Thank you for a good stay.

“A Great Stay”
The Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomington offered a phenomenal stay for my business trip! I especially want to give a shout out to Eileen, your front end customer service support! She was professional, friendly and met the requests of our large group with great care!

I’ve stayed here many times over the years. The parking is convenient and secure, but the checking out and leaving mechanism works correctly only about half the time for me. I have to push the button and call for help. Hilton Status cuts the fee in half. The food service at the bar was exceptional - I wanted a snack around 9 pm. Good, hot and correctly transferred to my room account. Breakfast seemed to be run by someone new and inexperienced: No identification on some of the food items - is the yogurt ‘full strength’ or ‘ low fat’? Is that turkey sausage or pork sausage? Some guests care. And what’s the cost of a sign? Lack of some basic items - “shipment didn’t come in”. Server apologized. I pointed out that when I was a student working at a nearby restaurant decades ago I was sent two blocks down to Kroger with $50 to buy what we needed. That Kroger is still there. Location can’t be beat. Good eating nearby. International restaurants over on 4th street. Easy walk to meetings on campus. Bar laden Kirkwood Ave is nearby. Usual Hilton caveat: CHECK YOUR BILL. Especially Food & Beverage credits. Mine had someone else’s meals on it. If you have a problem, don’t write - they don’t answer. Call - if you get the right person the problem will be solved.

“Nice hotel.”
I stayed here for one night. I got in pretty late. Parking isn’t great. Or all that clear. Everything else was pretty nice. The staff checking in was nice and the lady that helped with the broken parking machine was nice. It’s an easy walk to the college. The room was clean and the pillows w… more

The staff checking in was nice and the lady that helped with the broken parking machine was nice. It’s an easy walk to the college. The room was clean and the pillows were good. And it was pretty quiet for sleeping.

“Nice hotel - could do without the paid parking”
Nice hotel! The only thing that really bothered me is the paid parking. Seems like a minor thing but when you are paying good money for a room and even opting out of room care each day to save water - paying 12.50 per day leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I think it should be free for Hilton members!
