I recently spent four nights at the Doubletree Greensboro Airport to play in a men's tournament. I want to state right away that the front desk staff was amazing no matter who I delta with. Terry, Tatum and the night staff (apology for losing their names) were always willing to answer my questions and to solve any problem I had. I was a constant business traveler before I retired and I have stayed over a thousand nights in hotels. It was a pleasure dealing with these individuals . The hotel itself was convenient to Greensboro and Winston-Salem. The room was big and roomy. Parking was always easy. Breakfast choices were limited but service and the cooking were excellent. It was nice to have a great place to stay in my travels.

We stayed one night at the double tree due to an event we had to go to. Place is clean, neat, and customer service is amazing. Everyone was very nice and helpful, the best part was the free cookies. With our booking we did get free breakfast however they had no recongition of it so of course I had prepaid receipts of everythng. The breakfast is a menu you pick an item from worth $ 15.00 per person if you go over the $15 you pay the balance which our balance was $.95 cents not bad. They are still remodling on some of the rooms. I think the hotel used to be hoilday Inn express, the water pressure from the shower was a little weak, as well as the toliet did not flush that good. There was an issue with the hotels door make sure it shuts it was a lot of rooms where the hotel door was still open like when they try to close the door it was a crack open. The bed was super cozy and comfortable and the location is in the middle of everything we needed. Per leaving my receipt was emailed to me with a balance of $14.00 claiming taxes but I had already had prepaid and had receipts of that as well. I will recommend this place i would say be patient witht he liitle quorks here and there. I would stay back if I had to.

Nice upgrade to King Suite with sofa, fridge and microwave. 4. Went to bar to use my LT Diamond Credit. Bartender nowhere to be found. After 5 minutes asked desk who said he might be doing Room Service delivery. Eventually, Non energized bartender arrived. After limited wine options were presented, I ordered Margaritas Rocks with Salt. At finalization, he began to pour into unsalted glass. I was then told he had no salt and unceremoniously handed me the cocktail. I asked if the restaurant had no salt. He handed me a salt shaker, which I opened, poured into a napkin, and finished preparing my own drink with a clean glass. No acknowledgment, no apology. 6. At 0430 departure, I asked for a folio. It didn’t show the Diamond Credit from the bar. He assured me Amex would reflect correct amount and couldn’t generate one since he was in the middle of his audit. He assured me he would email ASAP. That never happened. 7. Called next morning. It was only then I was was told Diamond Credit didn’t count towards Alcohol at this property. Not a NC thing, but property didn’t participate. It should have been noted in my Card Key Jacket. The jacket I would have never gotten with a digital key. It was reportedly adjusted, but now still have an Expense Report reconciliation nightmare to deal with. If you’re not going to play like a Hilton, don’t play in the Hilton landscape. I’ve spent 35 years dedicated to a chain. I deserve a return of that loyalty.
