“Great Hotel & Staff”
I absolutely loved this hotel, the location and staff. Our bartender, Mostafa, was amazing and very attentive. He seemed genuinely happy to see us the next day and welcomed us back. Our housekeeping attendant, Roselyn, was awesome and so kind. Can’t wait to go back!

“Central Park proximity at its best”

After 8 years, I returned to the JW Marriott Essex House in Manhattan because I found great rates. Always elegant and efficient, it’s been renovated and has a lovely Executive Lounge. They gave me a room with a view of Central Park, which made my stay an amazing experience. I was surprised that such a renowned hotel doesn’t have a coffee maker in the room (I had to request one) and that there are no outlets near the bed to charge your phone. *** Después de 8 años, regresé al JW Marriott Essex House en Manhattan porque encontré buenas tarifas. Siempre elegante y eficiente, está renovado y tiene un lindo Executive Lounge. Me dieron una habitación con vista al Central Park, lo que hizo de mi visita una gran experiencia. Me sorprendió que un hotel tan renombrado no tenga cafetera en la habitación (tuve que pedirla) y que no haya enchufes cerca de la cama para cargar el celular.

“Couldn’t handle the busy season”
Checkin was a zoo. The app confirmed early check-in but the room wasn’t ready, so we sat in the lobby for 2 hours (with an 8 year old and dog), before leaving to kill time outside the hotel. Front desk was unable to estimate room readiness and never called/texted when the room was finally ready. … more
Checkin was a zoo. The app confirmed early check-in but the room wasn’t ready, so we sat in the lobby for 2 hours (with an 8 year old and dog), before leaving to kill time outside the hotel. Front desk was unable to estimate room readiness and never called/texted when the room was finally ready. They also did not inform us of the lounge area, to which we had access, which would have at least given us somewhere to sit while we waited. Not at all what I expect from this hotel.

Pros: Central Park View high floor Bourbon Steakhouse is amazing Nicholas & Luis lost and prevention team sent left items from my sons room. Front Desk check in, she gave great service as well as the bellman. Cons: No coffee pot in room, you have to request one. The coffee is not refilled daily, you have to call housekeeping, very long wait time to receive refills. Bottled waters that you pay for in room are not restocked daily. After first day, no waters in room. Mini fridge is all soda and alcohol. Room was not very clean upon check in. In one of the drawers shopping bags and receipts left. Room was very dusty! Construction first and last morning woken up at 7 am to pounding on the roof. We stayed here for 4 nights and booked three rooms. For the price, not worth it. In August, my husband and I stayed at the Ritz Nomad, incredible service and worth every penny!
